I paid off my $500 credit card limit and they decided to charge me a $29 late fee which brought my balance to $524. They then charge me another $29 over the limit fee for being over $24 (which shouldn't have happened if they didn't penalized me for the late charges). I wanted to just wanted to pay off my balance and negotiated with the customer service rep to have them remove the late and over the limit fees which are $29 each. The C/S rep agreed, I was starting to loose my temper so I decided to just pay off the remaining balance of $524. The following month I received another statement saying that I still owed $70+ on this account.

It was a very stressful month and I just didn't pay too much attention to this. I figured that it was their mistake and that they would take care of it. Another month passes and they charged me again ($29) for late fees. I contacted the 800 number and asked for a supervisor (named Rick (service# ????)) I was calmly explaining my situation and saying that there was a mistake I politely asked to remove the charges. He gave me the song and dance saying that "They can't remove the charges" and that I should write to their General Correspondence Dept in Salt Lake City, UT. By this time I was frustrated and angry. I can't believe what some of the things these companies do to take advantage of their customer. This is not right and I will make sure I will fight this and exposed their deceitful strategies to the public. This incident will forever discourage me to do any type of business with them.

If you paid off your credit card, then how did your account go overlimit? Even if the late fee was valid, that still would only mean your balance would be $29 + residual interest. Your figures don't add up with what you said happened.
