Car Rental 8 Fox Rentals Ripped off Tampa Bay Florida
I used Car Rental 8 to rent a car for one week in Tampa Bay Florida and got taken to the cleaners...badly!!!! Do not use this service!!!!!!! Whatever they tell you is a complete lie. They told me the total price including all charges for the week would be $241. They booked me a car through Fox Car Rentals (which I'm sure is an affiliate of theirs since I've read other complaints saying the same thing)
Fox Rental is not at the airport. They pick you up at the airport in a shuttle bus and take you to their office. When you get to their off-site location, you are now at their mercy because you have no wheels and they charge you way more than what you were quoted. They charged me an extra $450 on top of the original $241. My one week car rental ended up costing almost $700. It would have been cheaper to just take a cab everywhere I went. The guy at the counter said that it would have been a lot cheaper if I would have NOT booked it through Car Rental 8.
At the end of the week, when I brought the car back to Fox Rentals and boarded the shuttle bus to go back to the airport, everybody else on the bus was complaining about the same thing. They had all been charged $250 to $350 more than what they were expecting. So they robbed all of us blind. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE !!!
