Purchased car in August 2008. Had problems after the first month, with the brakes. CarMax service center stated it was brake dust. Took to a local dealer and found all 4 rotors needed replacing along with brake pads.
Service Light came on and found there was a problem with the Passenger side Pretensioner. Found out that the wiring had been cut and spliced together.
According to Auto Fax the service that CARMAX uses it was not reported as salvaged. According to CARFAX, the car was reported a total loss in 2008.

Here's a good idea. .. get a carfax and have it inspected before you sign no matter what. . that sould be a consumer responsibility.

On 20-Sep-2013 CarMax purchased the Car for $3000 less than paid for it in 2011. I still will not purchase another vehicle from CarMax ever again.
