THIS IS ONE MORE CARMEL MOVERS CUST They quoted me $2400.00 and demanded $12, 400.00 when they arrived. I hired a lawyer to sue them. The lawyer negotiated them down to $6000.00, which is still $3600.00 over their quote to move me 482 miles. After over 5 month without our household goods, I relinquished and paid them the $6000.00. After receiving my money, they called the next day and told me they still will not deliver my household goods. This company is one of the most organized ripoff scams I have ever heard of. They are not to be trusted or to be hired. STAY AWAY! In addition, the poster named Maria that posted the glowing review of this company is the person I first dealt with in the company. CAMEL MOVER IS A SCAM VIVO YOU R A SCAM

I went with these guys, even though more expensive than others because the sales lady was really good. She said they were professional movers, not just guys off the street. That they wore uniforms and that they used blankets on everything to protect. They didnt arrived on time. didnt Worked hard. didnt Used blankets, and damage my furniture and house. These guys were hardly professional movers though. The uniform was a tee shirt that had the company logo, and only one guy wore that. Only one of the two movers even spoke english, so I'm doubting these guys could be called professional movers (maybe in a different country). The big let down was that they stole my change jar (approx. $200). And made off with about 200 hot wheels cars. The guy that spoke english had told me about his children, and my father even witnessed the same guy unpacking the cars into a different box from where I had put them! So yes there were definitely stolen. Don't use these guys no matter how good the sales lady is. carmel movers is a ripoff vivo aka yariv you are a scam !!!! avoid this company at all cost

We are extremely dissatisfied with carmel movers! I am writing you on behalf of my son Ben (Russell) who is so stressed out over this, he is beside himself. Ben relocated from San Diego to Monterey, Ca. The week of November 1th, 2008, Ben contacted carmel movers. Ben paid caemel movers (Frank) $1040.00 in cash as they stated that their credit machine was down and could only accept cash (the first red flag)! carmel movers(Frank) assured Ben that all of his belongings would arrive Friday Ben tried calling carmel movers at all the provided phone numbers starting at 8:00 A.M. to make sure everything was on schedule as he took the day off from his new job. He either got no answer at all or a voice message stating "no one was in the office".. Ben left a voice mail. He then tried to email carmel movers to no avail! Friday came and went and Ben never received his belongings nor a return phone call or email. Saturday & Sunday came and went. Ben left several phone messages and emails throughout the entire weekend. Not a single return reply! Enough was enough, so I called on his behalf Monday. I spoke with Frank . He was rude, inconsiderate and a plain "jerk" to me. He said the truck broke down and no one works on the weekends. I asked why someone didn't bother to even call Ben. He kept repeating that it wasn't their fault and blah blah blah!! Frank finally agreed that the truck would be there with Ben's belongings absolutely no alter that 8:00 A.M. today . Of course as you can guess by now 8:00AM came and went. Ben had to call carmel movers again and Frank told Ben that it would be another 4 hours before they would come. Now the truck comes 4 days later than promised and they demand another $1200 in cash before they will unload the truck! This is insane and totally unacceptable! Ben was so upset and he called me. I call caemel movers and spoke to Frank once again. He told me that he would only accept $1200 in cash before he instructed the movers to unload a single item from the truck. I asked Frank if he really thought that this was fair? He told me "yes" and hung up on me! Both Ben and Myself called Frank and he finally agreed to take Ben's credit card. This is absolutely unacceptable and this is far from over. I can not believe that carmel movers has the gull to charge another $1200 on top of the already paid $1240. This is extortion! Ben has moved a few times and I have as well and we NEVER encountered anything close to this complete and unprofessional company! I have contacted The Better Business Bureau and The US Department of Transportation as well as my attorney. Posted by: Kevin Russell Ben Russell
