Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Cars RV & Marine Superstore ripped us off GOOD!!! To the tune of $80,000.00CDN. Ordered our Unit Feb 2/04, never took delivery until May 1/04.

Had all kinds of excuses why it never came when it was suppose to (3-4 weeks). Signed the loan papers prior to taking delivery - BIG MISTAKE but a lesson we won't soon forget. Never again. Never even saw a copy of the Warranty agreement prior to the deal, never mind sign and receive a copy as we are required to under Gulf Streams' Warranty Policy.

Special Order of the Arctic Package on this Gulfstream 5th Wheel never included Heat Pads on the Holding Tanks. When we asked the Service Manager why there were no switches for the pads, he lied to us and told us that they ran on automatic thermostats and switches were no longer used. In reality, the Heat Pads were never installed!! We also never received an oven, nor were the Power Vents w/remote wall switches installed. These Fans were installed after Factory Manufacture and now are still not on wall switches, and we have to climb a ladder to open, close and turn on and off one fan. In addition to this, 5 lights in the living area of the coach are also on the same wall switch as the fans so we have to use a broom handle to turn these lights off and on all the time.

-Most of the Information Books were missing from the unit as was the remote for the stereo. In addition, this unit was not PDI'd properly and we had water leaks upon setting it up. We also discovered the following within a couple of weeks of taking possession:

-Have a sewer smell within the coach and it is coming from the kitchen sinks as well as the A/C

-2 sets of blinds are mis-colored and 1 keeps falling down as there is not amount for it, it is screwed directly into the wall

-Laminate floor is poorly installed, the ends of the pieces are mis-cut and there are gouges and chips in it everywhere

-Floor is unlevel under the carpet in 2 places and drops ~3/4"

-Step up into the bedroom is 1" higher on the left than the right

-Counters unlevel, sinks hold water after draining and the stove is unlevel

-Shock mount missing on one shock

-Screws falling out of the window frames, one window leaked down the wall and another the seal is gone

-Awning has a string of pinholes - have been refused replacement

-Drawers in kitchen have clips that gouged the bottoms, these were removed by us, reinstalled by the Dealer at the top of the drawers and now the clips don't even line up

-Staples showing in Ceiling everywhere

In addition to the above,

-we have had a drain pipe come apart in the heated storage area. This came apart because it was never glued at the Factory. We glued the connection, and now both the Dealer and Manufacturer figure everything is ok but what about the rotten smell we are now stuck with in the storage area due to the water damage this un-glued connection caused. We have had water in our underbelly for about 2 months now because of this.

-October 30/04 we discovered water in our roof. This water is laying between a layer of batt insulation and flex-foil (foil wrapped bubble) insulation. The Dealer will do nothing for us and the Manufacturer (Gulf Stream) is telling us it's our fault we have moisture up there. We have always ran a de-humidifier since the day of posession BUT the Manufacturer - at the factory level, & the Dealer - when they did the PDI NEGLECTED to vent the fan above the cooking area. The Flex-Foil is above the batt insulation and we believe, and have been told by an independent dealer, that the flex-foul is acting as a vapor barrier holding all the moisture in the roof area, but this is our fault.

Our unit has been at CARS for nearly 4 weeks now and nothing has been done to it.... absolutely NOTHING. The unit was in at CARS in September for 4 weeks and at that time they did NOTHING either. Tried since mid May/04 to get this unit in for Warranty work but never could prior to September. Gulf Stream Coach tells us that we haven't fulfilled our obligation. Have over 30 e-mails, 50 phone calls and 60 pictures to prove otherwise!!

When we had our unit in for repairs in September, Randy Storr - Sales Manager did give us a loaner. It was a Coachman which was dirty and very well used. He is now stating that we "wrecked" the loaner bringing it back with a hole in the wall, blinds broke off, screens destroyed and the carpet filthy.

He states that he had the carpet shampooed. This is such a crock, when we were waiting to take the loaner, there were 2 people in it cleaning the carpet with a bucket of water and a rag. This is NOT shampooeing. Why would we treat a loaner this badly if we believed it was in our best interest to look after it and own unit is not in this state due to filth and poor upkeep.

We know we are not the only ones to be ripped off, cheated and lied to by CARS.

Wonder if this Dealer and the Manufacturer stay up all night to think of new ways to cheat the unasuming consumers that purchase the junk they sell and manufacture but calls an RV? Wonder if their conscience bothers them at all? Probably not, Guilt has NO Conscience.

Bottom line here? If a LEMON was ever built this is it. NEVER deal with a Dealer that tells you what you want to hear but will put nothing in writing and MAKE SURE you understand and get it in writing exactly what your warranty does cover.

We want our $80,000.00 back plus the GST, the Extended Warranty we paid for, Life & Disability Insurance and what ever else we paid for on this Gulf Stream piece of crap nightmare.

The Osmans, Andy, Sam and Nadia, are a bunch of money grabbing cheapskates. I had to deal with the three of them daily, and can attest first hand they WILL rip you off , regardless , because they have admitted in front of me "Who cares about the F***** Customers! Take care of your people!" in the office in Edmontons southwest. If I knew a list of the businesses the Osmans own (apart from the Auctions) and there are many, I would post them for all to see... why doesn't someone help out?

CARS R.V & Marine is the worst Rv company I have ever had the displeasure of working for. I had made the unfortunate choice to work for CARS even after being warned by NUMEROUS ex-employees from there that I should not work there. But I gave CARS the benefit of the doubt and decided that there are 2 sides to every story... uh... but not this one. Boy were they RIGHT!!! These people that work there are very unprofessional and the GM there is also very rude and insensitive to his employees. Let me give you an example. I have not been able to hear in my one ear since birth, and I guess my GM tried to get my attention by calling my name and I did not hear him. He then proceeded to me and said "I just called your name four times" I replied "Sorry sir but I did mention that I was deaf and I didn't hear you" He proceeded to say "Well you should get that fixed, You can't work like that, why dont you get a hearing aid!" Wow... what a concept I had never thought of that... A hearing aid...hmmm Do they make such a thing ^o... I have permanent nerve damage in my ear and I told him "I have nerve damage and I can't get a hearing aid" he callously said "Well you better do something cause you can't work here like that" .... I think that was the first time I had been discrimanated about my ear ever! I couldn't believe the gall. As for the rest of the Dealership... what word can I use to describe CARS... hmm... got one... GONGSHOW.... total dissaray. There is no protocol, the management stinks. If there is any wonder why such turnover. Number 1: Training is abissmal. Number 2: If any of the consumers are ever wondering why there parts or units are not arriving on time... Maybe CARS RV should pay there bills and not have the staff have to lie to customers and tell them that there stuff is stuck at the border, when REALLY the case is that cars has not paid there bills on time.... That shoulda have a made a big light in my head go off. Number 3: If you dont have adaquate manpower to help you with the workload... Then hire more people or your employees wont be able to meet the required deadlines for the GM or Fixed Op Manager (for lack of a better word) Your employees will get overloaded and doesnt help when your breathing down their necks. If you wanted it to get done then maybe help out if you didnt want to hire staff instead of walking around with coffee and talking to people all day. Must be nice. This company tells me the wouldnt hire help because after May Long weekend it will slow down... um... How long have you run R.V. & Marine dealership? One year thats right. Anyone with Experience knows that the season does not slow down until the end of August. Shows what kind of "smart" management CARS RV is. Sam I only met you a few times. But rest assured It's time to clean house. Until the management changes ie: Dan Randal, Marcel Silva,I hope this helps everyone avoid CARS RV Red Deer. Avoid it like the plague. You will be happy you did.

TRUTH???? By WHO'S Account of what transpired?

#4Consumer Comment

Thu, July 14, 2005

Truth? The TRUTH is this unit should never have been ordered in the first place as Randy knew CARS was no longer going to handle the Gulf Stream Line. Since it was ordered, the Dealership upon seeing the state it was in regarding options and flaws SHOULD have refused delivery. Secondly, when a customer is told by the GM of a Dealership 3-4 weeks for delivery, 4 at the most and it takes 3 months who has the right to be mad and who here has told the "TRUTH". Randy knew full well when this unit was ordered that it would NEVER be delivered to CARS in 4 weeks. Were we, the customer told that, NO, just the opposite. Was it you that was told many excuses as to why it had not arrived when it was suppose to? NO. Was it your unit that came in missing options that were ordered and not paid for? NO. Was it your unit that had all the problems? NO. Was it you that were told "I don't give a %&*# if your unit ever gets fixed" NO Was it your unit that was taken 300 miles one way 2 times for repairs that were never completed? NO. Was it you that was lied to and told "ALL" repairs had been done. NO. Was it you that was told "There's Heat Pads on the tanks, they just run on automatic thermostats" NO. Was it your unit that the Washer / Dryer Combo was placed sideways in the closet - virtually unuseable? NO. Was it you when arriving home that gave it a quarter turn and it fit properly? NO. Was it you that fixed water leaks upon setting it up? NO. Was it you that had to live with a sewer smell that was easily repairable? NO. Was it you that sent dozens of e-mails, pictures and made an enormous number of phone calls to try to have these problems resolved? NO. Was it you that were asked by the Manufacturer what caused these problems and how could we the owner fix them? NO. Was it you that spent this kind of money for a never ending nightmare? NO. A lot of NO's on your part. TRUTH??????????????????? I know Randy OR CARS built this unit, that's a retorical statement. The fact remains that this was a nightmare from the day it was ordered. Randy should NEVER have accepted delivery and we should NEVER have accepted possession of the unit. Regarding this fact, we are just as much at fault as Randy AND THAT'S THE TRUTH!!!!!!! My reason behind calling you all "lazy cronies"? We were at CARS one morning by 9am. The Techs in the shop coffee'd until 10:30 at which time the Lunch Truck pulled up and guess who had lunch? Not one minute was put into working, but I'll bet you all got paid for the time. We asked if you guys were having a staff meeting and were told No, just doing what you usually do in the shop". So yes, I believe I was justified in stating that. My reason behind calling Randy a liar? From the minute it was agreed we could order a unit things went from bad to worse; The shipping date, the delivery date, the reasons for it not arriving when first stated, the options we specifically ordered that were not installed in the unit, the PDI we believe was not done due to the water leaks when we set it up, a shock mount missing, screws missing in windows and 92 screws missing in the under belly which we added, the repairs that were promised completed which was not,and the Warranty Work that was authorized by GS promised completed and was not. All these things are the reasons behind this statement. Regarding Cole from Ottawa: you no doubt did hear me spouting off and I am the first one to admit that I raised my voice and swore. I have never denied that. Had you been in my shoes that day or been a man, you might have resorted to different tactics. You have no idea what we had been through prior to that day. After months of trying to get the problems with our unit resolved, frustration took over my better judgement and I basically let loose. To you, an innocent bystander I apologize. Kevin, you state that you hope you never have the pleasure of working on a unit I own again, well FYI, I would just like to say if you and the SM can't make a Washer fit in a closet facing the proper way BUT we can, I wouldn't want you working on my unit. The loaner; that's another can of worms. The unit was spotless when we picked it up, that's true. The walls had holes in them, the blinds were broken or just never worked and the screens were ripped. We returned it in the same condition we received it. TRUTH???????????????? Our unit we traded in? Yes, it was well used, it was 3 years old. And no doubt it smelled of smoke, that's what happens when you smoke. We made sure the GM and the SM knew it was smoked in when we first decided to strike a deal on a new unit. In fact we all enjoyed a cigarette behind the unit we viewed at the RV show the day we first met Randy, Jason and Curtis. The unit was clean when turned over to CARS. Doors were removed for the TV center and the Washer area because the doors would not close when these were in place. The parts were all there to re-install both sets of doors. There was 1 scratch on the flooring, one on a lower cupboard door and 1 scratch on the exterior. This is not what I would call major damage by any means. We literally had to make someone come out and view our unit when we dropped it off. Seems to me no one cared that day but they sure did after the fact. Jason, being the person that viewed our trade was more than happy with it and stated that in lieu of not seeing it prior to making the deal it was in just as good if not better condition than we had stated. We pointed out ALL the scratches and the parts for the door that had to be re-installed. We also stated it probaly reeked like smoke but he never seemed to care. Truth?????? Yes, I spout off and swear when I get frustrated with a situation that just continually goes from bad to worse. Who wouldn't? Do you think that playing "nice nice" with Randy & Curtis at the Dealership and the Service Department at Gulf Stream got us anywhere? You spend the kind of money we did and we'll see how you react when you don't get what you order, repairs are not made and you are lied to continually. I think most people would react how we did. Fortunately for us but unfortunately for you and the others that worked at CARS at the time this all took place we didn't just lay down and take it as perhaps you were used to your customers doing. In regards to your question do I think CARS is the only dealer selling crap, the answer is NO I don't. Mr. Osman has had the GS line cancelled. That in itself says a lot regarding Gulf Stream Coach products. Like I said, NOT AS ORDERED, NO WARRANTY, NO SERVICE. TRUTH???????? Furthermore, you state you worked in the shop as a Tech. Well then you wouldn't know everything that had transpired between Randy and Jason and us prior to the day we picked up our Gulf Stream Yellowstone would you? You wouldn't know about the phone calls we made, the lies we were told and exactly how everything transpired would you? You weren't the customer that waited and waited being told 2 and 3 times a week; oh it was shipped yesterday, there was a big wind storm in the states and nothing is moving, it will be shipped tomorrow, it was loaded on a truck and removed because it was painted wrong 2x, the paperwork never went with it to the paint yard so it's sat for 2 weeks because no one knew how to paint it. Absolutely everything is in it that you ordered, GS has the best warranty, GS builds units for year round use, this product is exactly what you're looking for "I guarantee it" You HAVE to sign the papers as it's a special unit. TRUTH????????????? You state, and I quote; "And I guess considering some of the untruths we have told, would this mean you were lying too?" just confirmed what I have been saying all along. We WERE lied to and deceived regarding the Gulf Stream Unit we ordered and received as well as what transpired prior to and after taking possession. TRUTH???????????????????? You can all have your opinion but the fact remain unless you were actually Randy, Jason, Curtis, one of us or just a fly on the wall you cannot sit back and judge me because you were not there from the beginning to the end. You only caught bits and pieces of a transaction that was doomed from the start because of the way the GM, the LM and the SM handled it. Gulf Stream definitely never made it easy for anyone. Perhaps if they had honored their warranty and stood behind the product they built and sent out to the dealer to sell none of this would have transpired in the fashion it did. Perhaps we would have a different view of Randy, Jason and Curtis. No doubt in their own way they are good guys BUT the fact remains they never stood behind their customer and they did everything in their power to see that this transaction took place regardless what it took. TRUTH????????????? We no longer own a Gulf Stream Product and NEVER will again. Mr. Osman did us the biggest favour when he bought it back from us. His reasoning for doing so? I can't say, but I know he not only did the right thing for his Dealership, he did the right thing for his Customer and that in my realm of morals is what counts. Honesty and being Ethical is what it should be about. Not mudslinging and fighting. We never deserved the unit we received and paid for anymore than we deserved to be treated as we were by being constantly lied to. We just weren't about to lie down and take it anymore. Our side of what transpired.................. THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

Stretching the truth!

#5UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, July 14, 2005

For starters about the only truth the Campbells have mentioned is the fact that Gulfstream products are crap! I know as I have worked on many and to do a proper PDI and repairs on a Yellowstone takes a minimum of one week, not this 3 and 4 hour token PDI that most RV dealers perform. Now let's get into the good stuff! I had the distinct pleasure, shall we say of meeting the Campbells. I will never forget the first meeting as one of the first words I heard Mrs. Campbell utter was an F-bomb. Quite charming and ladylike. Very conducive to a good working relationship. I would also like to point out to Annmarie(friend of Campbells) that I was one of the first people to view their trade on the Saturday morning that they brought it in. Sorry to burst your bubble but that unit was one of the worst that I have seen in regards to cleanliness, condition and smell! I also remember helping take the Campbells washer/dryer unit out of their Okanagan and installing it in their new Yellowstone. We told Mrs. Campbell that it may not fit, she swore and said it would, so... we installed it. Now the only way it would fit in the front closet was to install it so that door was facing into the closet(with the door closed). My it was a lovely scene when she noticed that. Point here being that Mrs. Campbell is always right and has a tough time hearing something that she does not want to hear. From my experiences CARS and Mr. Storr put up with a lot of crap from Mrs. Campbell. No I am not defending CARS or Mr. Storr as I no longer work for either. Tis the truth Mrs. Campbell. I also know that Gulfstream is a very hard company to do business with especially regarding warranty issues. As for the loaner I was also around to see that unit on both departure and return. It was not a fancy unit by any stretch but it was a loaner, Mr. Storr did not have to do that for you. I personally would have been too embarassed to return a unit that looked like that after the Campbells had used it. I have no reason to lie about this. Question for you Mrs. Campbell, what was the story with the furniture or lack thereof when your unit was brought back for service? As for the new respect for Mr. Osman it sounds to me like he was concerned about being sued and decided to take a new approach. He knew of the Campbell situation from day one. I guess I fall into the category of being one of the lying, lazy cronies that worked for Mr. Storr, Mrs. Campbell, although I did not follow him to his new venture, I chose to go to a different RV dealer as did some of the other lying, lazy cronies. Hmm.... I would have to say that trading in a unit such as yours in the condition that it was in would indicate that maybe you were lazy about taking care of said unit. And I guess considering some of the untruths that you have told, would this mean you were lying too? Gosh, maybe you could join Mr. Storrs' so called band of misfits and lazy, lying cronies as it appears you would fit right in. Although I did not personally do the PDI on your unit I did several on Gulfstream products and they were a challenge to say the least. That band of misfits that you so lovingly talk about were one of the best groups of people that I have had the pleasure of working with! And we did a d**n fine job of putting out units in good shape or as good a shape as they could be given the conditions we worked in. I know of a lot of stuff that we fixed not knowing if CARS would get reimbursed by Gulfstream or other manufacturers, but we felt that it had to be done. If you think that CARS is or was the only dealership selling crap, wake up and smell the coffee. I sleep very well at night by the way and did while I was at CARS because I know that I did a very good job and so did most of the people I worked with. Just a little side note for you Mrs. Campbell, one of the techs working at CARS now, one of those nice people that you love, used to be at CARS awhile back. Didn't fit in, incompetent, kind of a hack, they let him move on. He was hired back because Mr. Osman was desparate to have warm bodies in the shop, in fact most of the band of misfits was asked to come back!! Shocker, huh? Good luck with your future RV purchases Mrs. Campbell and I wish you well. I hope to God that I never have the pleasure of working on one of your RV's again. Thanks to Cole? of Ottawa, Ontario. I don't know who you are sir but I appreciate the vote of confidence. It's nice to know that there are some honest people out there. I'm glad that while I was at CARS we were able to help you out in a positive way, you can't please everybody but we bloody well tried. Thanks again for being a fan of the misfits.

ethics attack LAZY LYING CRONIES

#6Consumer Comment

Tue, July 12, 2005

TO ALL THOSE INVOLVED in this visious attack on personal ethics please take note from an outsider looking in. FIRST off from the start of this tirade from grimshaw alberta, you a so called lady are the most unpleasent woman i have ever had the unfortunate opportunity to run into. i myself did purchase from the ex G.M. at the dealership in question. your lack of ethics is incredible due to the name calling and the naming of names in this report is most uncalled for. i was at the dealership in question on one occasion that you went OFF on the serivce manager at the time that in my opinion was only trying to help as much as possible, but with tied hands from trailer manufactuer, please try to remember he alone did not build your trailer. SECOND OF ALL the first letter and owner rebuttal atest to the kind of people you and the owner of cars rv and marine are, you bash one another viciously and since your problem has been fixed by said owner of dealership you and him seem more than happy to turn your tirade onto the most capable band of misfits i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. it sounds like the said owner of dealership bent over backwards to help you. i am happy to read that all is good in your world now but i personally think said owner did not bend over backwards for you but happily bent forwards. now onto my little own little problem, i tried to take my own unit in for service on a fridge that would not keep anything cold, yes still under warranty and was told by now service manager that they were to busy to look at my unit right now and to call back in 2 months. i suspect this to be a very true statment due to the fact that the crew of, how did you put it, o thats right LAZY LYING CRONIES are no longer employed there. the two other times i brought my unit in for service it was returned to me the same day because of the very capable crew of cronies. fortunatly for them but to my disapointment they have moved onto bigger and better places.pretty good judgement on there part would you not say. there has been numerous adds placed in edmonton local papers looking for employees but to no luck have the positions been filled. why does one suppose this is,?? could it possibly be owner? working conditions? who can tell why there is no one willing to stay at this place of business. could it have something to do with the fact that 11 of 13 employees left with in 2 weeks and none were fired they all left on their own. so in closing if anyone knows where to locate the ex g.m. and his following band of misfits and cronies would you be so kind to let me know where. i would gladly pay double shop rate to have them service my still under warranty unit but I know they would not likely charge me anything at all. just the type of misfits they are. take heed you misfits i am closing in on your trail and will have you treed before long, see you all soon. signed fan of misfits. edmonton alberta.

KUDOS TO CARS RV & MARINE

#7Author of original report

Wed, June 29, 2005

Kudos to Mr. Osman The Owner of CARS RV & MARINE! Not only did the gentleman contact us, he personally drove to our present place of residence to meet with us and hear our side of the many very unfortunate events that occurred between his then Employed Staff and ourselves. Mr. Osman was more than courteous and willing to listen. He brought an RV Tech with him and together we addressed each and every problem concerning our Gulf Stream Yellowstone. He agreed that our unit was not as it should be and offered to repair it as necessary to bring it to the standards we expected. Should this not to be to our satisfaction, he would make us a very generous offer to get out of the unit we are in and start fresh in a new one. In our wildest dreams we could never have expected this from this man and the Company that we have literally been at war with for over 14 months. We have come away with a new respect for not only CARS RV & MARINE but also for the Owner, Sam Osman. He and his new staff are willing to do whatever it takes to turn a terrible situation around. A situation that was caused not by them, but by the previous Sales Manager Randy Storr, and his gang of lazy, lying cronies. Unfortunately at this time it is not them that are suffering but Mr. Osman and his dealership. There is however an old saying what goes around; comes around. Hopefully for every unsuspecting RV consumer out there, it's coming round your way real fast Randy. Randy, we would like to know how you and your crew that follows you around from dealership to dealership live with yourselves? How do you and your so called men treat people like you do and sleep at night? Have you never heard of human kindness, courtesy, honesty and truth? Or is the creed you all live by manipulate, lie, cheat, steal and scam? In defense of Mr. Osman I would like to state that he did not go to badbusiness.com to check and see if his business was on this site. The report that was filed by me was faxed to Mr. Osman by the same ex-employee that accused him of stealing from his employees. It was faxed from the new dealership where Randy and his co-workers are now employed. We saw the fax that was sent to Mr. Osman clearly showing not only the time and date but also the Name of the Dealership that sent it. Need I say more? Our deepest regret in all of this is that we never met with Mr. Osman in person when everything started to go awry. Perhaps if Randy and his crew had passed on the many, many messages we left for Mr. Osman to please call us, this nightmare would never have escalated to the point it did and we in turn would never have defamed CARS like we did. Frustration with Randy and his staff at CARS & Gulf Stream Coach drove us to say and do a lot of personally unethical things. For this we apologize to both Mr. Osman and his new staff at CARS. We toured CARS RV & MARINE today. Sam was there to greet us. He introduced us to his new staff and we could see that the winds that blow at CARS have changed. The people Sam hired as replacements are not full of hot air and turbulence scrambling to scam the next unsuspecting customer through the door as the old crew was. Their more relaxed in a polite but friendly, let's see what we can do for you today sort of way. No pressure, no lies, no manipulating, no cheating, no stealing and no scamming. Gulf Stream products are no longer found on the CARS RV lots. Their the kind of Manufacturers that don't stand behind their product, don't care about the customer that saves for years to purchase a high end product and they don't care about their dealers that try their hardest to satisfy customers that buy the Gulf Stream products. The Dealerships are very lucky if they even get paid for the Warranty Work that is authorized by Gulf Stream. It's sad when always lining your own pockets first is the bottom line. Gulf Stream is nothing more than a shell of the company it was prior to being divided into divisions. Customer Satisfaction means nothing to Gulf Stream, neither does the Warranty. It can't because it's only worth the paper it's written on. There's nothing to prove otherwise, we own one of the Gulf Stream top of the line units and we can attest to it. In fact on a list of RV Manufacturing Companies in North America, Gulf Stream ranks 31 out of 32 for Customer Satisfaction. That's not only bad for business it's just simply sad. I would think the founder of Gulf Stream never imagined in his worst nightmare that his business would go down to this level. They used to be the top of the list. Yes, it's just sad. After meeting with you Sam, we can honestly say that your Dealership will be first on our list of places to stop the next time we decide to purchase a unit. You went out of your way and literally bent over backwards to satisfy a previously irate, frustrated and very unsatisfied customer. Thank goodness you had the foresight to look beyond your previous staff and find out for yourself the kind of people we really are. You'll never know what that first phone call made to us that day meant. Mr. Osman, again we sincerely apologize to both you and your new staff. Congratulations to you all by the way! You have a super boss. It was quite apparent to us today that you truly care not only about your business but also your staff and your customers in this case being us. Without your intervention we would not be smiling this evening. We are at peace within ourselves knowing that you will do what you say you will do. Honesty is such a rare commodity these days. It was so nice dealing with a man of his word and we appreciate it very much. Perhaps Sam you should consider changing the name of CARS RV & MARINE to CAReS RV & MARINE. It would surely be appropriate because you truly care. No words can ever really express how much we appreciate what you have not only shown us but what you have proven. Thank you. Respectfully, The Campbell's

My husband & I met Dennis and Caroline Campbell approximately 2 years ago. We are 'full-time' RVers who happened to be camping in Northern Alberta when the Campbells 'moved' in to the camp site next to us. For about four months Caroline and I coffeed back and forth everyday. So everyday I was in her trailer. Trust me, her trailer, which was on Okanagan at the time, was NOT in the condition Mr. Osman claims he received it in. If truth be known, Caroline is a better house keeper then I am. She is the type of person who will wash her dishes right away, whereas, I am not beyond letting them sit on the counter for a few hours. There is NO WAY that her trailer was in any kind of terrible shape. Well used maybe, but that's to be expected when you live in your unit full-time. Another thing, we, both Campbells and ourselves as well as any other full-time RVers are very aware that our units are not built to be used on a full-time basis. BUT if they are constructed as they SHOULD BE and the owner takes the proper care with their unit there is no reason that you cannot live in these units all year. I'm not sure if Mr. Osman has been living under a rock all these years but living in RV's full time in Alberta is nothing new and has been going on for at least the last 10 years with more and more people doing it. The Campbells informed the dealership that their new unit was going to be used full-time that's why the arctic package was requested. I have stayed friends with Caroline since I first met her. I have visited her in her Yellowstone on several occasions. I have seen what her problems are with her new unit and quite frankly I would NOT buy a Gulfstream product EVER. If Carolines' Yellowstone is Gulfstream's top of the line product they can keep it. My husband & I have met another couple who purchased a unit from Cars and had problems with their furnace within thirteen months of purchasing their brand new unit and were left to replace the furnace themselves. A new unit under warranty and the customer had to replace the furnace out of their own pocket because Cars Rv & Marine refused to honor the warranty. By the way this couples RV was not a Gulfstream but another make of a bumper pull trailer. My main reason for this rebuttal is just to make it clear that Caroline & Dennis take care of their RV units - they don't abuse them and if anything try to make improvements to them. The other item I would like to address is that while Caroline can be quite offensive in her speech at times it's only when she becomes frustrated with the individual she is dealing with at that particular time. Have promises repeatedly made and broken to you and see how long you can hold your temper. A good friend of the Campbell's

I used to work for Cars Rv And Marine and i can totaly understand where Caroline is coming from. I have been employed at alot of other business's in the past and let me tell you that this is the most unprofessional place that I have ever worked at. All they care about is getting your dollar now, once your out that door, o well sucks to be you. In the time that I was there I seen person after person get ripped off. Not only does he rip off his customers but he does it to his employees as well. On numerous ocassions I have seen that so and so has X amount of dollars missing from his/her paychecks. That's right his own employees, isn't that sick. It's just the Sam way! What ever happened to customer service? There is no such thing anymore it's take your money and run. Another thing you have to ask yourself is if he doesn't really rip you off, why his he checking out badbusinussbureau.com. mmmmm How do like me now Sam Osman?

#10REBUTTAL Owner of company

In Response to Mrs Carline Campbell story. The original purchase of the unit was at the R.V show in Feb 2004 from her brother-in-law Reg Hetu. She had a trade in which she was given very generous money for and was supposed to bein good condition. The trade in was never viewed by any staff prior to delivery.Mrs Campbell then changed her mind from buying an in stock unit which she had viewed at the show to a unit with a different floorplan which had to be factory ordered. The new unit took 2 months to build and ship which is not uncommon in the Rv Industry. When the new unit arrived Mrs Campbell dropped off her trade which was absolutely filthy and not worth the amount that Cars had appraised it for because the salesperson involved was no other than her brother-in-law and the dealership was taken advantage of.Her trade then was then reconditioned and sold for a twenty thousand dollar loss.In regards to the warranty Cars was more than accomodating and gave Mrs Campbell a loaner for a month while her unit was being worked on.When sh returned the loaner was not in the same condition as when picked up.From looking at her trade in ,the loaner given her and the new Gulfstream she purchased i would say Mrs Campbell is very hard on the Rvs and does not look after them. She lives in her unityear round and these units are not built or desiged for year round living in minus 40 weather.Gulfstream did build the unit with the Arctic Package but tanks are heated from the internally and no exterior pads are required.Mrs Campbells continous use of vulgar and obscene language is not condusive to a good working relationship with Cars staff. KEY POINTS; She purchased an in stock unit from her brother in law.she walked through it and loved it then changed her mind to a different floorplan which had to be factory ordered.Cars went beyond the call of duty to assist a customer who was totally unreasonable, foul mouth etc. Cars did not build the unit but at that time was selling the product and was more than willing to service the product even though Gulfstream would not honour her requests and Cars paid the bill with no assistance from Gulfstream. In Closing we have lost a considerable amount of money in dealing with Mrs Campbell and feel that we have bean unjustly slandered.Perhaps if she and her brother in law Reg Hetu were more truthfull and less foulmouth the outcome would have been different.
