I paid off a loan that I had with CASH CALL over 3 weeks ago. CASH CALL received my payment in full plus some overage on 6/30/07, to assure that I did not owe any accrued interest. In a previous conversation I had with CASH CALL on 6/28/07, the person I spoke to said that once they receive my check the interest will stop accruing and they will return any overage within 2 weeks.

I have called several times, informing CASH CALL that I have not received any overage owed to me and have not received my closing statement. CASH CALL gave me the runaround and said that they did not owe me anything, and as a matter of fact, that I owed them a small amount, but they were going to wave the small amount of interest.

I dispute CASH CALL's assertion that I am not owed anything. The fact of the matter is, I paid $54.24 over the amount that I owed CASH CALL to cover interest for 4 or 5 days, for the interim period when CASH CALL would receive the check and deposit it. So far, CASH CALL has refused to send me a closing statement and overage owed to me.

Small claims court

If you are absolutely sure that they owe you something, you could file a claim in your local small claims court. If you file a claim, I suspect that the will contact you very quickly after they are served by the court and attempt to pay you - just remember that once you file a small claims case, you want any court fees paid as well - filing fee, paying to have them served and so forth. Make sure they offer you the correct payoff plus you court fees. If they don't - see 'em in court. How many folks would like to see that on the 11 o'clock news? I know I would. If you positive they owe you, then small claims court would be the way to go to get your money from them. Good luck.

Use this link and file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, if enough people get involved and act on this ~ they might get shut down w/o warning like a company very similar to theirs. http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtm

Maybe you should constantly call them and harass them for your $55, and start charging THEM 99% interest.
