I had to fight with these people for over two years over a Sprint account that did not belong to me. Disputing with the credit bureaus did absolutely no good. I finally got someone on the phone and was referred to the "identity theft department". I am not a victim of ID theft..it was not my account, period.I had Airtouch at the time I supposedly had this account with Sprint. I was told that I "must have filed a police report" and had to send other documents in order to have any possibility of getting this removed. It took a letter from my attorney, gently reminding them that it was THEIR duty to prove the debt belonged to me, not my duty to prove it didn't, to finally get this removed from my credit report. Good luck.
