I knew things were going to be bad when Steve Russell told us in orientation that they would only pay 40% reimbursement for idleair. He said that they studied it and found that people would not use it if they reimbursed 100%. Liar liar pants on fire. I thought seriously about walking out of that orientation right then and there. I do not appreciate being lied to.
Your story does not surprise me in the least. I talked to a lot of celadon drivers on the road. They all, without exception, told me that celadon was a good company to work for at one time, but has turned into a steaming pile of pig feces and isn't worth anything anymore. They were just waiting until either retirement or until another better job opened up.
I should have kept track of how many days I spent at Wax and Laredo, waiting for a load. They always b***hed about, and later fired me for, my idle %. Gee, why would I idle in S. Tx in the summer? It was such cool, pleasant weather.
