CURE is a new Ultrasound start up school in New Rochelle. It markets to students who do not have a real scientific background. CURE makes all sorts of promises to current and potential students regarding their future marketability having been trained as ultrasound techs.

What CURE does NOT tell them is that no hospital, radiology suite or doctors office will hire graduates of programs like this one. Most CURE grads will not be eligible to sit for the RDMS exams. The Ultrasound job market is flooded with applicants who do not qualify to sit for the exams. They wander around from place to place trying to get enough experience to qualify. Even then, no medical institute that I am aware of (and I know most of them) would bring on people with such weak backgrounds.

CURE goes out of its way to conceal this information from students and applicants. Do yourself a favor and find a REAL program that is accredited by the state of ny. Do not give these charlatans a dime of your hard earned money.

CURE is a NYSED licensed, nationally and institutionally accredited, specialized, state of the art, mission driven ultrasound school.

CURE was founded by Karen Nussbaumer, RDMS, RVT, who was formerly the technical manager of Massachusetts General Hospital Ultrasound Department.  Karen has over 18 years of experience in the field of ultrasound and hopes that EVERY individual, regardless of their degree, has the opportunity to attend ultrasound school, not just those with medical background and higher degrees.

CURE has numerous clinical partners such as Montefiore and Mount Sinai Hospital as well as dozens of additional facitilies.  CURE graduates have all had opportunities for employment and nealry 100 facilities have hired CURE graduates in top hospitals, outpatient centers, mobile companies, doctors offices and even travel assignments nationwide.  Many of CURE graduates have done on to management positions and are helping maintain the high standards set by CURE.

This report was written during the same month that Karen attended her first meeting in Albany that was required for NYSED. At the meeting, CURE competitors were sitting nearby and were rude and disrespectful to her during and after the meeting.  Because this report showed up the day after the meeting, it is believed that this report was written by the competitors for no other reason than to hurt CURE.  CURE is taking all the necessary steps, including legal, to find and reveal the person or persons who brought this false report.

For the record, from 2009-2013, CURE was able to enroll students with a High School Diploma or GED.  As of September 2013, CURE was unable to accept any students without an Associate's Degree, which can be in Arts or Sciences.  It is CURE's goal to be able to accept students with HSD/GED in order to provide opportunity to those that want to be employed in the medical field as an elite sonographer.

Also for the records, CURE and it's incredible team of doctors and superiorly trained educators and ultrasound technologists, have never concealed any information from anyone.  We are very open and very warm, friendly, caring and kind.  We will not say anything negative about our competitors, however, one of them, Sanford Brown, was fined $10 (TEN) MILLION DOLLARS by the federal government for falsifying information to students and they have been sued numerous times and lost.  Because they are owned by CEC, which is Career Education Corporation, they have access to billions of dollars and just pay the fines.  CURE is different.  We don't hurt people.  We care about them.  We don't put people down.  We try to lift them up and give them opportunity.  We follow the rules.  We don't lie, cheat or steal and we don't waste time putting people down to try to make ourselves look better.

We truly feel sorry for the person that wrote this.  We have hired a legal team that will take all the next steps necessary for us to defend CURE, the greatest ultrasound school we have ever seen.
