I was recruited by Roman Iespov to drive a truck for CH1 LLC. Initially he wanted to keep the truck leased to Meadow Lark Transport, but I don't work for bigger fleets anymore. So Mr. Iespov said I could work for CH1 LLC directly.

Upon arriving in Chicago, I was taken to the truck I woulld be driving. I could see immediately it had some maintenance problems. Cracks all over the bodywork and hood, including a sizeable piece hanging near the ground on the right side. Right headlight was severely scratched, probably due to an accident of some kind. Most of the shocks were rusty and leaking. None of the controls in the sleeper worked. An engine warning light came on immediately. As the truck warmed up I could see both the oil and coolant were running at least 30 degrees above normal range. Power mirrors did not work.

I was told to drive the truck to a nearby repair shop. On the way the voltage started dropping, and the engine brake came on and would not shut off. Luckily I made it to the shop. They replaced 3 bad batteries and the right headlight. Mr. Iespov declined to fix any shocks or suspension components. Apparently he didn't consider truck handling important. I do, since I'm the one driving the truck. I consider it a safety issue. I knew then my stay with this company would be very short.

I picked up a load, and began driving south towards Birmingham,AL.  I made it about 100 miles when the truck flashed a DPF warning. Within 10 minutes the engine power decreased, and the truck would not go above 55 mph. Informed Mr. Iespov about the problem. Luckily I was lightly loaded, and there was mostly flat ground. Did a parked regen and continued on. Within an hour the same thing hapoened again. So I did another regen. Told Mr. Iespov we needed to fix it. Was told to go to a nearby Freightliner shop. Mechanic found a problem with the exhaust treatment system. Took almost 24 hours for repairs to be completed. Didn't have the same problem again.

All this time the engine brake would not shut off. After I left the repair shop I drove for a couple hours. Then the engine brake stopped working and would not come back on again. At this point I told Mr. Iespov to route the truck back to Chicago, and I would be leaving it there.

When I returned to Chicago Mr. Iespov attempted to give me a personsal check for my final pay. I told I had no where to cash it, and it was useless to me. Suggested he take me to his bank 3 miles away so I could cash it, which he said he couldn't do for some reason.I've had several paper paychecks bounce, so I don't accept them anymore. He said he would transfer the money through Walmart to Walmart later that day. He has not done so, and does not respond to my messages. So he is ripping me off for $1200.

CH1 LLC never asked for any application from me. They allowed me to drive their truck before my drug test came back. Mr. Iespov said my first weeks pay would be under the table, which I did not ask for.

Roman Iespov is straight up liar, for these reasons:

- He llied about the condition of his truck. It defies common sense that he didn't know about most, if not all, of the mechanical problems. He would have to be a complete idiot.

- He said he would send what he owes through Walmart. He hasn't done it. And he is hiding from me now.

I believe Mr.Iespov had been drinking on several occasions I met with him. Possibly could have been something else. He was obviously on something.

I warned him I would begin filling complaints if I did not get my pay. This is where I chose to begin.  More to follow.

Some additional information on CH1 LLC I discovered. The more I dig the more it becomes obvious these 2 people are train wrecks when it comes to running a trucking company. The same 2 people who own CH1 LLC, Roman Iesypov and Yulia Haiduk, also own another company. Energie Solutions Inc dba ES Solutions Inc. 1420 Renaisance Drive Park Ridge,IL 60068 Dot# 2447829, Mc# 847153. This company was put out of service by federal authorities in March 2019 for failure to pay $14,300 in fines for a laundry list of violations. Only a 10 truck company. It remains out of service. Energie Solutions was sued in northern Illinois federal district court in October 2018 for damaging a load of freight. They lost. A default judgement against them was entered in December 2018. Last activity was in June 2019, a petition for relief by the plaintiff MKM Importers Inc. Case is ongoing. Appears the company is dodging the judgement. Case# 1:18-cv-06786. Energie Solutions was also sued in Cook County in February 2017 for breach of contract. Amount involved was $12,661.54 . Appears Mr. Iesypov attempted to dodge service in the case, but was eventually found. It was apparently resolved eventually. Case# 2017-M3-001106.
