On 07-06-05 I went thru Lending tree .com for a loan. I got back three offers. I went with this company Champion Mortgage. The women I was assigned to was name Ms.Gerri Evans.

I told her what we wanted and she took all the info and was told she would call back, never did. I called her and she had ran a credit report on me and filled out her paper work. Told me to fax all my info to her. I did.

Next she told me that it needed to be apprased on a Thursday and they could be there Saturday betwwen 9-noon. I called my wife and she said call her back and make doulble sure. I did Ms.Evans said well that cant make it Saturday but Tuesday they can make it. Ok between noon/4pm Well I waited no show I called Ms Evans back and told me that she couldnt get in touch with the person on his cell phone.

So she said for sure I promise guarantee it they will be. Well I waited and no one came. I called her and she said well I just found out they wont do a double apprasal that late. Well I had taken three days off work and the tenets were waiting also. We are doing two home.

Also half way thru the loan process she said oh by the way i got an e mail today and we dont offer the loan we were doing for you. I said forget this whole thing. I just cant believe someone like her would lie to me thru this whole thing.

Why did you need two appraisals? Was your home value over a certain amount? These are rare - especially in a place like Champion Mortgage which deals with the sub-prime market. Typically, someone with an expensive home that requires two appraisals has decent credit. With all do respect, it was impossible to follow anything you were saying because your writing skills are lacking any coherence. Try typing in Microsoft Word, spell checking, and the pasting. Finally, if you do a search for Champion, you come up with about 6 threads. Not too bad considering they fund around 15,000 loans per year. Do a search for Ameriquest, it is ridiculous how many there are.

#3Consumer Suggestion

Warren, It may be direct lenders like Ameriquest and Champion, banks that are not upfront or even Brokers who promise the world. Consumers have to understand the mortgage world more thoroughly than they do. I am a branch manager of a mortgage bank/broker and have seen promises made through out my career by other brokers and direct lenders that cannot be met. I am curious as to what your situation was at the time in terms of what type of loan you were looking to recieve and what type of property and income specifications there were. I would also be curious as to what out of pocket expenses were incurred. I sypathize with your situation, but I also understand that there may have been a situation where they truly could not handle your loan. The problem is with the hope that they gave you and than took away at the blink of an eye. Bad business!!!
