Below is the response to my final email I sent to them. (See previous post). As you can see they don't care if they lose customers. Their response is short, to the point, with NO explanation. One would think a company would want to keep its good customers. I guess they just want to hang on to those that have either made a late payment or fell for one of their promotional low interest rates for the balance life, increase your interest rate after you max out, schemes. In short, I think their new money making strategy is to lose the good paying low interest rate customers by getting them to pay off their debt to them, and max the interest out on others with not so good credit and keep them as a paying customer for life as they never have to lower their interest rate once increased. It almost makes me laugh, they even offer to close my other account just by emailing them. How convenient. ------------------------------ Dear Aaron, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We are able to close your account via e-mail. Please advise us when you would like your account closed. If you have any further questions, please reply using the Secure Message Center. Thank you, Daniel Enriquez E-mail Customer Service Representative ------------------------------- I am through with Chase. My emails did nothing but make me realize they don't want me as a customer. I have a new motto for them: "KING OF HIGH INTEREST CREDIT, where the right relationship is everything" GOODBYE FOREVER CHASE! I AM WASHING MY HANDS OF YOUR FILTH!!

Aaron, I'm sorry to hear Chase doubled your interest rate on your credit cards. Unfortunately, the only thing we as consumers can do is take our business elsewhere if a credit card issuer raises our rates for no good reason. I applaud your efforts in this matter. You asked them to restore your original rates and when they refused you closed your accounts. This is the best way to handle it. On another note, you mentined you have a Bank One "prime rate for life interest rate" card. Whose life is it referring to? Yours or the bank's? Because Bank One's life is just about over.
