Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

To Whom it may concern:

Upon numerous atempts to have CHASE re-issue credit for a purchase which was never received, CHASE continues to not address the issue and has taken the side of the merchant instead of the customer.

The total charge is $24049.00 The company is PERFECT COMFORT.

CHASE stated they initially sent out a letter which I was unable to respond to due to the fact that I was away. I then re-contacted them and re-faxed a letter and they continue to ignore issuing a credit.

Respectfully Requested .

According to the Federal Department of Transportation, this company only has one truck and one driver.  On top of it, the company has a 100% out of service record for both driver and truck, meaning everytime the truck has to stop for a routine inspection, either the driver or the truck is considered a hazard, at which point the DOT pulls the vehicle out of service.  Based on this, this mover would be unable to complete any portion of your move.

Broken or missing items are subject to valuation reimbursement at $0.60 per pound per your contract; it's standard.  Once you file the claim form to the mover, the company will likely determine based on the valuation amount, that your claim is worth a few hundred dollars, and that's about it.  The Carmack Amendment would prevent you from collecting anything more than that in a court if you were to try and sue them.

Moving is not inexpensive.  Choosing a mover off of the internet based on price will be far more expensive for you in the long run, than if you had simply found a mover local to you in the actual Yellow Pages (not the internet version) and had them perform your move.

By the way, I would not have gone with Golden Movers LLC in FL either based on the DOT report I just read.  Another company with way too many out of service inspections.

I'm sorry this happened to you.  Best of luck.
