Did not honor their word false promises .....

On May 23, 2003 I went to the cable-dahmer chevrolet dealership, here in Independence, Missouri, to purchase a 2003 crewcab /duramax diesel pickup truck with a check for $12,000.00.

With the understanding with the general manager and the finance manager that I would buy this truck with the understanding that I would NOT have to make any payments for one year and that my current balance 0f $53,000.00 would not increase. ( I have purchased three other new vehicles from this dealership in the last three years ). This afternoon, 06/23/03 I received the statement from GMAC stating the my current balance was $58,000.00 plus and that my monthly payment was due 07/06/03.

Nowhere, in the contract and/ or the paperwork is ANY mention of the $12,000.00 check! It is as though it never existed. ( But they, Cable-Dahmer Chevrolet did cash it !)

Read simple solution to you problem

I have a very simple solution to you problem, read before you sign anything. On the contract there would be a date that would say when you first payment is due. The fact that it was not one year later that the current date should have been flag one. On the contract there would be a spot where the dealer reports what you paid as a down payment if this was a 0 or left blank that should have been flag 2. Also on said contract there would be a disclosure on any warranty that you would be purchasing and how much this warranty is, if it says more that 0 $ Flag 3. All you had to do was read what you were signing it's your own fault

Marty Dahmer and Brian LED me on to BELIEVE this was what was going to happen after discussing this NUMEROUS times

I went back to the General Manager, Marty Dahmer to have the contract recinded and he told me that my other truck had been sold and that I could trade DOWN to a Cavalier and still have payments! This was the original deal, was NOT to have payments for a whole year! This WAS everybodies agreement and understanding! The general manager, Marty Dahmer and the finance guy, Brian ? Marty Dahmer and Brian LED me on to BELIEVE this was what was going to happen after discussing this NUMEROUS times. I have purchased three other vehicles from this dealership with NO poblems in the past, until this time! This time they MISLEAD, MISREPRESENTED, DECEIVED, LED ME ON, OUT AND OUT LIED, BETRAYED MY TRUST AND SCREWED ME OUT OF $12,000.00 . And futhermore, I was told that because I was buying the top of the line truck that the extended warranty was FREE!????????? They charged me $4,850.00 @ 12.49 %. After I seen that, that was NOT FREE, I went back and had that CANCELLED. We Marty Dahmer and I argued on my cell phone about me putting anything down for this truck. He , Marty Dahmer called me on my cell phone and had asked numerous times about me putting something down for a down payment on the truck and I was vehemnt and adamant about NOT putting anything down . And then he puts the $12,000.00 down IN THE CONTRCT as a down payment! After we discussed not putting anything DOWN!

Jeffrey I want you to read what I posted just for you.

While reading what I post, keep this in the back of your mind. Car dealers are not held to any honesty policy. The only policy they think about is the following word for word.

"How can I fxxK the car buyer to increase the size of my pay voucher"

Car dealers think they can bend you over at anytime and no one will do anything about it. Well, a new day has come and the auto industry knows very well that Rip Off Report is here to expose all of the "Auto industry a*s Holes!

If I were you Jeffrey I would call up your leasing or financing company and ask for copies of ALL documentation that your SUCKY car dealer sent to them. You need to have copies of the documentation that your lender or bank got from your dealer.

You might be able to prove FRAUD!

I understand what you are saying. I live in Indiana and unless you put it in writing, it don't mean s**t!!! You can pay all you want up front, but that is a down payment. That has NOTHING to do with money that you will pay later on. NEVER EVER BELIEVE WHAT A CAR SALESMAN SAYS!!! They are only one step up from SCUM!!! I have no idea of the laws in Missouri, but believe me...if you get screwed once in Indiana...YOU LEARN YOUR LESSON!!!! Go to every Department you can to get your money back and good luck to you!!
