After my original report was filed, my sister mentioned that she had taken photos at my wedding with a disposable camera. I took her camera and had the photos developed. Much to my surprise, my sister's photos turned out far better than those taken by the professional photographer at The Chapel of the Fountain; there were full length photos of me and Dave (my husband) and a group photo of the wedding party. My wedding party consited of my sister, Benita; my brother in law, Tommy; my son, Justin; my daughter, Elysha; Dave's daughter, Sarah; my niece, Brittany; and my nephew, Brandon. I had been waiting for the photos to arrive from the chapel, so that I could send out my wedding announcements. I immediately had enlargements and prints made from my sister's negatives to accompany my wedding announcements. I was STILL WAITING on the photos to arrive from The Chapel of the Fountain, Circus Circus, Las Vegas. Our wedding wasn't an extremely elaborate event, but it was OUR WEDDING DAY. We had made reservations elsewhere that we cancelled in order to accomodate our children. The MOST important thing to my husband & I was that our childeren be a part of our wedding day because they are a major part of our lives and would be "blending" together to create a new family after the wedding ceremony was over. My BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENT of all was that I had no photos of my children by my side during the ceremony. My sister managed to have someone snap a group shot of us with that disposable camera and it is the ONLY shot I have of myself and the kids. I am presently attempting to attach: (1)the proof sheet from the chapel, (2) the proof sheet from my sister, (3) the ONLY full length photo I have of my husband and I on our wedding day and (4) the ONLY shot of my kids and my wedding party.

After mailing a copy of my "Rip-Off Report" to the managers of Circus Circus and Chapel of the Fountain, I returned home from vacation to find a message from Ms. Billy Kelly, manager of the chapel. I returned her call on September 20. I found Ms. Kelly to be very polite and professional. She experessed her regret for the damage of my wedding photos and made the following offer as restitution: (1) DVD footage of my wedding ceremony (2) A remake photo shoot (3) Admission for my family of 5 to the theme park located at Circus Circus, Las Vegas. I asked if Circus Circus would include hotel rooms for my family for the 2 or 3 nites during our visit; I was told this was out of her department and that she would get back to me with an answer as soon as possible. It has been 2 weeks since that conversation took place and I have yet to receive a reply from Ms. Kelly. As soon as this update is posted, I will print & mail copies to the managers of Circus Circus and Chapel of the Fountain with hopes that I will get a response very soon, as we are planning this trip for the second week in November and my time is running out to coordinate travel plans. To date (10-8-03), I have received the DVD of my wedding ceremony, as promised by Ms. Kelly; it is much better quality than the VCR tape, but harder & more expensive to copy for family members to view. (Hey! Don't sweat the small stuff!!) I will continue to update this site as needed, based on the actions received from Circus Circus and The Chapel of the Fountain.
