Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I realize the rates are super cheap but there's a reason for that.  Starting from the moment you walk in the door you will be hustled by obnoxiously over the top friendly hotel staff who will pull you into a separate area of the hotel claiming to have something "special"  for all Circus Circus guests.  Within minutes you'll find yourself amidst a hard-core timeshare sales pitch.  After you escape that scene, expect to stand in line 1+ hours (we waited almost 2 hours) to be checked in.  There are several areas for check-in but only one area will be in use.  Expect to be checked in by someone who is rude...beyond rude...downright mean and angry.  We experienced blatantly rude behavior every single time we interacted with anyone at the Front Desk.  And yes...if you booked your room online, despite the fact that your rates were "locked in"...you will pay a considerable amount more when you actually check in.  For us, it was over $100 more than what our confirmation email quoted.  Also, there will be several hotel employees wandering around the lobby pretending to offer generalized  customer service.  STOP!  Even though they can speak a few English sentences and can nod their heads...they do not understand what you are asking them.  They will point you in the wrong direction.  The information they give you about shuttles, hotel amenities, and Las Vegas in general will be inaccurate and in our case, painfully so.  They will pretend that they want to help you but they are actually just looking for people to pull over into the time share sales pitch area.  Despite the fact that they have blue suits and name tags...they know nothing about the hotel.  Do not trust their guidance.

Beyond that...the rooms are not "updated" as claimed on the Circus Circus Website.  We saw different rooms in different areas and price points and they were all filthy.  All worn out.  We found bed bugs in one of the Skyrise Tower rooms.  There are no "flat screen TV's" as mentioned on the website...rather they are old old tube TVS...2 foot thick with poor reception that just happen to have flat screens in front.  There is almost no cell phone reception in the rooms...sometimes none.  The internet network is SLOW...as in dial-up slow.  Furniture is broken.  The heat/air did not work in our room and despite calling maintenance it was never addressed.  The rooms are damp and musty...all smell like a mens locker room.  No fridge.  No microwave.  Hands down the worst motel room I've stayed in.  I've stayed in Motel 6 establishments that are far more worthy.  The Adventuredome might be open and it might not so please don't get your kids' hopes up.  I'm serious about that...there will be certain days that they just wont open and it will be without warning.  We were told that that's routine procedure.  If the Adventure Dome is open,  it will cost $30 per person to ride 4-5 rides.  The hotel shops and restuarants will be closed more than they are open and they are also crawling with hustlers who will call out to you with a smile as you approach their store only to yell out an insult as you pass by. The free circus acts are nothing special...really...and you could sit for hours before you'd see one.  I could go on and on and on about why Circus Circus is the WORST value on the strip.  A total RIP OFF!  Please...pay a few extra bucks and stay at the Stratosphere or Riviera or Station.  Anywhere but Circus Circus.  As consumers it's time to stand together against this type of blatant maltreatment by immorall members of the service and travel industry.
