FINALLY! Someone else who is going through the same stuff with this rip-off company! The problem started when I had some health problems, and got behind a month on the mortgage with citifinancial. From that point on the story only gets crazier. We have not received a statement from citifinancial since august of 2002, ever since that date we have tried in vain to get a number, been told that we have no mortgage (thats right, no mortgage loan with them), been foreclosed on (no date for court, but they got a judgement) been called a liar (that really hurt, ha ha) had no less than 5 different places to mail a payment to (all returned, since there is not a mortgage!) and now we are receiving letters with a totally different account number and getting calls from them, wanting to "work things out". Yeah, thats gonna happen. Our lawyer got so frustrated because he believed them and not us, (should i say former lawyer!) But in his place maybe this story does sound crazy! I am probably not going to save the house, but I am not gonna go quietly into the night either. I also intend to file a report with this great website, it is time that consumers are given rights and not so much grief that is undeserved!

See the report I made on Citifinancial, entered on June 9, 2004. These people are CRIMINALS! Why doesn't the Government step in and stop these fiends from raping the public!?

My husband and I entered into a forebearance agreement with the citifinancial sharks one year ago. (Please bear in mind my husband was laid off from his state job due to budget cuts a year and a half ago and has not been able to find a job to this date) Our payments were made every month on time (due on the 30th). In February we contacted our forebearance specialist, Isabella R. because there is no "30th" in February and we asked if we could pay our payment on March 1. She replied that would not be a problem. We sent our payment via western union and called her that day with the control number. They ACCEPTED the payment. We sent our March payment via western union March 27. We received a letter April 2 that we were to go to western union and pick up our money because citifinancial refused payment. We tried in vain to get through to our forebearance specialist Isabella R. or her collegue Conrad F. but we always got their voice mail and they did not return our numerous calls. Fearing forclosure proceedings we contacted an attorney about chapter 13. We then of course, had to leave voice mails for the 2 citifincial representatives regarding our chapter 13 filing number and our attorney's name and telephone number. We continue to receive correspondence from them via mail stating "they want to work with us to save our home" of course that is BS because they won't even return our calls. They appear to be ignoring the fact that we have an attorney. I have had it trying to deal with citifinancial mortgage. I don't understand how they can deny a full, timely payment to proceed with foreclosure. I don't understand how they can ignore the fact that we now have an attorney and contact us rather than him. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CITIFINACIAL MORTGAGE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! THEY DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY, THEY WANT YOUR HOME!
