I didn't mean to offend you, but it seems that yourself, robert x2, and ken are always accused of being shills. It was just a little humor.
As to threeclods ;) being chuckles? I don't think so, there is one trait of chuckles that is missing. I think he is just poorly educated.

" And as always, thank you for banking with Citi. We appreciate your business! "
I've been seeing your posts lately and you seem to be implying that you are representing Citi on this site, yet you post as an "Ex-employee". Which is it?
BTW, if you really are working for Citicorp, you should know that there are regulations governing bank communications that you are breaking with your posts. If you don't know what I'm referring to, better ask your boss or check your employee handbook before posting again.

Citibank (South Dakota), N.A. appreciates feedback from clients. It is useful for market research and banking trends. We at Citibank understand that our clients are the backbone of our business and our products and services are very competitive in the market.
Many clients issued frustrations with debit card fees and we listened! Citibank will not charge for debit cards but had repriced our banking packages that fit client needs and services. We understand and want to help. Please call us at (800) 274-6660. We look forward to working with you. And as always, thank you for banking with Citi. We appreciate your business!

In spite of your almost illiterate post, I'll continue to call them like I see them. I underlined a few of your spelling, mis-use and grammatical errors for you. We can work on your lack of punctuation on your next post to me. :)
To continue to use the excuse that the bailouts caused all our troubles is a little less than accurate.
Many have paid the government (us) back the loaned amount + interest.
It's a supreme cop out to keep using this excuse to hate the business for any perceived infraction.
FYI, Three Dark Clouds, as long as Reports are filed here and I see a need to comment, you can count on it....does that work for you?.....Oh, it doesn't really matter to me if it does or not.
Have a great day.

Inane would more aptly describe the sum of all your postings on this site not only in response to my complaint but all others to which you decide to address by way of your antagonistic knee jerk pro-corporate rhetoric.
It seems to me your whole purpose in being here is to demean, denigrate, and defame consumers who choose to let the public know that they have legitimate grievances with certain organizations and persons. The only thing I have seen you do on this site from my research is to engage in a pattern of harassing people posting reports by insulting them for standing up publicly and acknowledging that they were being victimed.
Your presence here is disruptive at best and is detrimental and serves to devalue and diminish this websites reputation and functionality.
My question is are you incarcerated in prison or a mental hospital or do you work in a corporate boiler room somewhere offshore like Nigeria or India or do you even exist at all outside of someone's demented imagination being projected into cyberspace?

I'm thinking, though, of filing some Ripoff Reports against a couple of the companies...their "shill checks" are a little late arriving. :)

It seems like posting here brings out a myriad of corporate shills posing as real people who do not even take the time to read the fact patterns in the complaints before spewing out conclusory comments condemning the party or parties who posted complaints on here.
From the essence of the comments I am seeing most of the shills did not read or understand the post and have very little correct working knowledge of the law or more specifically consumer laws. They do not even get their basic facts correct.
It seems like these people for the most part have nothing better to do than pile on with their knee jerk US Chamber of Commerce scripted mantras.
If these are real people and they are voting ,serving on juries,or serving in public office it is no wonder the country is collapsing economically and politically.
My guess is they are paid shills working for a service that offers them compensation to disguise themselves as average Joe's or pseudo authorities on subject matters beyond the limitations of their limited knowledge in order to try to discredit and harass those posting complaints here.
They provide little more than rhetoric and misinformation so as confuse readers about legal issues and shift the blame entirely to the victim of the ripoff. It is a calculated method to discourage others who have been wronged who are reading these posts from aggressively pursuing a course of action to protect their rights.

I was wondering when this whiner was going to start crying class action. Please, post back here and make all of us look foolish when you've certified your class. We'll be waiting.
My guess on the outcome of this is that you'll only see Citi in court when they file for a judgement against you.

"T",
Someone is messing with you.
That post was NOT done by anyone at CitiBank.
Don't be so gullible. Any genuine CitiBank employee would post name, branch, dept., and extension info. for you to respond and resolve the matter at hand.
And, your entire post is ridiculous anyway.
If you are so broke that you keep near a zero balance in your checking account, HOW are you going to sue anyone? I can guarantee you that no lawyer would take this on a contingency fee basis, as there is no case!
My advice to you is to close that checking account, as you obviously cannot afford to have it.
All of this over $1???????????
Grow up.

Your arrogant response fully supports my arguments in this matter.
Your response also supports the argument that punitive damages are warranted if and when this matter is ripe for litigation since your approach to this matter shows institutional indifference to and ratification of the organizations egregious conduct towards it's customers.
The position that you are stating is that Citibank structures contracts of adhesion with customers that are deliberately structured to provide an illusion of legal cover for it's conduct of unfair and deceptive business practices towards it's customers as well as allowing it to engage in tortuous conduct and other unlawful acts where it's customers are concerned because Citibank is alleging that they are a party to such a contract that Citibank can change at will and the contract allows Citibank to conceal these changes or fail to make reasonable notifications to it's customers if it so pleases the organization.
Please feel free to keep posting here and providing more evidence for use in litigation and for the use of the Office of The Comptroller of the Currency and the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in the pursuit of their investigations of this and similar complaints against your organization.
The fact that you are putting forth any public argument to justify your position in this and such matters is reprehensible and shows a complete lack of remorse for the type conduct which is the subject matter of the complaint and makes the argument that Citibank deliberately engages in calculated conduct ratified at various levels of management which defrauds customers and otherwise enables the organization to unjustly enrich itself by way of pattern conduct which involves mirepresentation and fraud and civil theft directed at unwitting customers and consumers.
It will be a cold day in hell before I pay Citibank anything in this matter and I hope to make sure that Citibank pays a far larger sum than the sum of all of the illicit profits that it unlawfully realized as a consequence of it's actions in these matters and more specifically in this instance.
By all means keep spewing out your scripted corporate spin on this as it is certainly entertaining and will be very profitable for my class action onces it reaches a judge and a jury in US District Court.
US taxpayers bailed Citibank out of the problems directly attributable to a corporate culture where institutional fraud was the order of the day and yet from what I can see old habits die hard.
It must be nice to work as a shill for a corporation rife with fraud and abuses of consumers. How much do they pay you as a debt collector to go on sites like this and harass consumers who have legitimate grievances concerning Citibank's unfair and deceptive business practices?
I find it interesting and dubious that this complaint has been online for a month and suddenly on the same date at around the same time I am getting hit with two responses advocating for Citibank almost simultaneously.
It would certainly be interesting to know what amount you are being paid to harass people who are posting complaints against your employer online since the US taxpayers own a significant block of stock in your organization and I know of a number of Congressmen and Senators that would be interested in investigating how and why Citibank squanders it's taxpayer funded resources to avoid cleaning up it's act by using employees or contractors to make overt attempts to intimidate and extort victimized consumers and critics who publicly out Citibank's very egregious anti-consumer conduct on the internet.

"I noticed that Citibank without any written or other notices or disclosures to me had raised the monthly fees on the account by one dollar a month and that this had caused an overdraft when applied to the account"
They DO notify you by the little folder of information they periodically send with your statement...it's the little white paper thing with fine print that you throw away. For them to do otherwise would be counter-productive and probably illegal.
You really should look at these, the next one will probably contain information that you will have to keep a minimum or higher balance in your account or face even higher charges, this will be the next one you throw away without reading and you'll be back here complaining "I wasn't told and it's all so unfair and predatory and the bank should be punished,"

Citibank, N.A. understands that sometimes bad things happen to good people. Citi prides itself in the best of customer service and alerts clients immediately of any changes in account activity. When you first applied for the account, the fine print states that you agree to any changes now and in the future regarding pricing structures, overdraft fees, and changes to any account. You signed the contract and accepted any future addendums to your account. In addition, using the account implicitly secures that binding contract.
Unfortunately, the only way that you will be able to resolve this arduous situation, is to pay Citibank, N.A. in full immediately. If you chose not to pay in full, Citi will charge-off your account, report it to ChexSystems and file negative entries on your credit reports. This will make it very difficult for you to open up other accounts at other financial institutions. Furthermore, your credit scores will plummet and could possibly result in a denial of a job offer, and any other line of credit.
Citi is more than willing to set up a reasonable payment arrangement for you that is reasonable. Why not call today? Our account specialists are available 24/7 to take your call. Please call (800) 274-6660. We are awaiting your call. We are here to help. Thank you for banking with Citi. As always, we appreciate your business. Sincerely, Citibank, N.A.
