A pattern has developed with Citibank. This company is impossible to deal with, people that call are nasty and I believe what they are doing is illegal.

We entered into a debt management program with CCCS out of Las Vegas. They do a great job, I wish Citibank would do the same. We had some financial difficulties and did not pay our bills for a few months. We started making payments to them (CCCS) last December. That company sends out a letter to your creditors asking them to reduce your interest rate while you are on the program.

All of our creditors have been great, except Citibank. They make it as difficult as possible to deal with them. One of my cards in particular is really bad. They allow CCCS to send in a payment within a small 15 day window after acceptance of their program. At first I thought they were willing to work with us because we received a letter in the mail dropping our rate from a crazy 29% to 9.9%. However, two weeks after receiving the acceptance letter we received another saying we were dropped. We had CCCS send another proposal which was accepted, then dropped again 2 weeks later.

Since December this has happened each month. Why? Because when you are dropped they go back to the higher rate and add other fees. May's payment was wired in plenty of time. Wired, which means they received it the next day. Dropped again. Over 100 phone calls from them since we started in December, even when they had agreed to the terms. This is just plain crazy. Anyone have any ideas?
