My eyes about popped out of my head when I came accross these complaints! All this time, I thought it was just me! Clayton Warichak of Von Der Stadtrand German Shepherds sold me a dog that he himself trained to protect my family. I paid thousands for him and he's a coward! He's afraid of his own shaddow! My cat has more nerve then this dog! I've owned this dog for several months now and never once heard him bark. He runs behind the house when people drive up! He won't come out until I call him and sweet talk him and keep telling him, "it's OK, it's OK" Clayton never bothered sending me his AKC registration papers either! I tried to get a refund and he won't even answer his calls. I have E-mailed him over and over about his registration papers and he won't respond to my e-mails or send them. I called AKC and they have no record of Clayton having a litter around the time he was born. He started sitting more and more. I would take him for a walk and the leash would pull tight, I'd turn around and there he was, sitting! I had his hind end x-rayed (no big shocker) he's as displastic as they come! He will need a hip replacement on both sides! My vet said that a dog that comes from two parents with tested hips would not have a dog that has hips this bad off. He said he was bred by a puppy mill or a back yard breeder. I feel ashamed that I contributed to that type of animal cruelty. I hope that anyone reading this will never do business with him. He's a liar, he obviously doesn't know how to train anything and he contributes to breeding very bad genetic problems.
