Vancouver,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Tue, November 29, 2011
I did work for Coachville.com as a contractor back in the Thomas Leonard days. I'd like to address the rebuttal to my original main complaint. See notes below:
Coachville.com 3/16/2010 said: We enjoy over 400 new members joining us each month and we continue to grow and thrive.
> Actually, their membership has been steadily declining since their original post. Dave Buck last >June (2010) has discontinued the Coachville.com Caffine radio show. Terri Zelenack has left CV as >general manager along with her husband Vince Haas the radio show tech. Looks like the ship is >sinking.
Please note, only 1 person in the 6 years I've been on the team, has EVER had their membership revoked.
> This was after Thomas Leonard's death, when Dave Buck too over. With Thomas Leonard, the >most highly respected life coach in the industry gone, Buck can do as he pleases with the site. Of >course, Buck's reputation was also going down hill, just like his website has been doing over the >last 9 years. I inquired of my lawyers and there's nothing I can do about getting my money back. >Coachville.com and Dave Buck stole $895 of my money.
The person in question violated the direct letter of the membership agreement and after ignoring a polite warning was sent a standard 'cease and desist' letter.
> As mentioned in the above complaint, I owned a competing website. It was gaining in popularity >and starting to become some serious competition to Coachville.com. They didn't like my growth in >the industry and so they hit me where they shouldn't have. My personal membership in >Coachville.com had nothing to do with me being the competition, but they killed off my >membership anyway.
While we don't hunt the web for membership violators, when they come to our attention we do take action and invoke our rights as they apply.
>...when they come to our attention....? There was only 1 competitor to their other site, it was mine. >"come to our attention..." come on. What business person doesn't know who's out there >competing? "invoke our rights...". Rights? What rights? The right to dominate the market? The >right to try and destroy the little guy who's offering a better service and getting your customers >because of your poor service and driving them away? Rights? Get real here!
Please disregard this slanderous and defaming rant and come visit Coachville if you'd like to know what we're like. We're happy to have you there and ready to support all our members.
>Just don't open a competing website and you'll be fine. >Slander and defaming? So telling the truth about Coachville.com is now slander and defamation? >Talk about political rhetoric. Point the finger at the truth and call it a lie. Maybe people will believe >you? Coachville.com has turned into the most ineffective, un-serving, passe and of less use >website for coaches everywhere because Dave Buck throws a tantrum and alienated members >when he doesn't like something. It's a far cry from the great site it was when Thomas Leonard had >it. Now, it's only just disintegrating into a site with no relevant updated or new content because >Buck has driven away all the good coaches who used to work with Thomas but no longer work >with Coachville.com because Buck is driving it into the ground. It's only a matter of time before it >totally goes into oblivion and goes the way of the Titanic.
