I agree this company scams and over charges people up the a**. People are calling into Comcast and being told a triple play for 99 a month 80 dollar install charges, but when we, the contracted ripped off payroll deducted cable tech, goes t a customers home to install products we have customers sgin off on cable outlets, phone outlets, wallfish's @ 36 dollars an hour and whatever else were not supposed to tell the customer, have them sign off on the paper work and then fill in the prices later.ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!

What happened to the Digital box that was at your old address, The only reason you would be charged the $300 dollars is if the box was never returned to the office or if it was not accounted for at the new address when the service was installed. You didn't give much info on your problem so I can only give you a limited suggestion. If you left the old box at your old address you need to go and get it. Or if you cannot get it you could call Comcast and tell them where it is at and then if they where able to get the box back, then the charges would be removed. Remember even if you have had digital cable for a long time you do not own the digital converter, Comcast rents the boxes to their customers and when you or anyone else moves or disconnects services, if the box or boxes are not accounted for then Comcast will bill the person who's name the service was under for the boxes until they are returned. Comcast will usually do everything they can to help someone find a missing box. Now the only other suggestion I can give you is if they put in a new box at your new address or didn't put one in at all, is it possiable that you may have packed the box away in something when you moved 1 1/2 blocks away? And last but not least, if you do find the box that is missing there is a verification number on the back or bottom of it, it would read like this (GI4733NB1375) that typ of number would be the one to look for and verify with Comcast, and if they match up and they get it box back then the charges would be taken off your acct. Thanks and hope this will help you.

Have you called Comcast to have the billing explained? I somehow think you have, but didn't like the answer they gave you. No way would a company that large ignore consumers' inquiries. Any time I contact them, I find them helpful and responsive.
