I purchased an HP Pavilion Entertainment Pc (laptop) March 2008. In a less than four months my screen cracked. The laptop had not been dropped, hit or mistreated in any way. The laptop had been on for a while, and it had a history of getting excessively hot. I contacted Conn's and sent in my laptop in July of 2008. They contacted me a couple weeks later saying that i had to pay about $359 to get the screen fixed. I had insurance and an extended warranty. And the told me that it was not covered. I was really upset because im a college student that has had laptops and several computers before, and this had never happened. We contacted HP ,who had also taken a look at the laptop, and they told us that the laptop sceen cracked because of an internal error in the LCD. Meaning that the laptop defected, and that it should be covered through Conn's. So for the next few days we played phone tag with Conn's and HP. Both companies gave me the run around about this laptop situation. I went to pick the laptop from the store. When i arrived i found that my laptop was wrapped in ceran wrap with nothing else to protect it. I was shocked to find that, this was the way the laptop was shipped. I took the ceran wrap off and opened the laptop to see if they had fixed the issue and found that the screen was still cracked and now had a whole in the screen. It looked as if someone took there finger and poked a small hole in the screen. The manager took the laptop and had it shipped back to service.

For a year i have been waiting to get my laptop screen fixed. Constantly being harassed and lied to by Conn's corporate office, SERVICE DEPARTMENT, and customer service!!!!!! They have called my phone every single day about 3 to 5 times a day. I have paid my account current several times with their promise of fixing my laptop. I received my laptop in May 2009, and its still not fixed. It has been a year of Lies, Torment, Harassment and Mental abuse with Conn's. They have been rude to my family and I, they have constantly lied, they have constantly made threats, and constantly harrassed me to pay for a laptop that was in there possession waiting to be fixed. Why would i pay for something i didn't do.? Why would i pay for something i didn't have for a year? Why would i pay for something that was defected in the first place?

So now im stuck with a broke laptop and there harrassment. I wish someone would make them stop. Its becoming overbearing. If i damaged the laptop i would have paid for it in July 2008... I didnt do it So Im not paying for it!!!! oh yea They also told me they will pursue me for legal action.

note. The screen was cracked... My stylus didn't work and fingerprint reader didnt work... wifi and webcam stopped working.

The screen was just the most important, they ignored the other obvious issues.

Conn's is a RIP OFF!!!!
