It looks like you signed a loan with a prepayment penalty. Conseco is known for prepayment penalties, which is equivalent to 6 months interest on the loan if you end the loan within a predetermined period of time. That would have been disclosed to you in the beginning in your note. Good Luck.

Don't feel alone! Conseco has used every scare threat and tactict on me I could right a book on the B.S. I've been told. I got out just like they ask me to, disconnected all utilities, removied all skirting and it has been vacant for six months. They call daily, two or three times and when I answer the phone they say nothing. Caller I.D. does not lie! I moved into a a motor home a good friend of mine let me borrow on the same property as Conseco's home was located, hooked up phone line to motorhome and recieved a call from John Chandler, a real nice man from Conseo that calls me Jack knowing my name is John. He wanted to know if I was out of his mobile home and I told him I had been for three months. He ask me how I was talking over the phone and I ask him if he had ever watched Green Acres on television? he said what do you mean and I told him I was up on the pole. HA HA HA He saw no humor in John's joke. Never the less Conseco is a very undiscribable company. I can't use the correct words in relation to my feelings about Conseco that can be used in print, but I don't like them. Good luck with your problem, you are not alone.
