Conseco Finance Buyer Beware! abused & mistreated and ripped off Rapid City South Dakota
Pay attention to what these people have done to others before you allow them to do it to you!
I assumed a mobile home loan in November 2001, but would not have done it had I known about this website! Notice the pattern here--at best, poor customer dealings by people who are basically unresponsive and uncaring. At worst? read and draw your own conclusions!!!
I have been overcharged and hassled repeatedly. Had to draw 3 different cashiers' checks for faxing prior to closing, because the fee kept changing! After closing, they claimed not to get the closing docs (via UPS) and started hassling me for late charges from another locale that apparently had no contact with the people I had been dealing with.
When I found out their insurance was about twice what I could get in the market, I canceled, but only after I had purchased coverage elsewhere. Still got billed for two months. Then they said the record showed I had coverage with two companies (well, sure, when they had paid no attention to my notice to cancel theirs!) Gave them the correct info. Now, several months later, I get a notice giving me 10 days to get my insurance company to fax them the entire policy or they threaten to buy coverage from their affilated company and bill me for it!!
Understand--I have covered the property since closing!! My insurer has faxed the policy, and I have followed up with my own faxes today (the tenth day, since the date of their letter was 08/16, but the postmark was 08/19!). Although I have demanded a written acknowledgment, they have not responded. I cannot believe I have to deal with this company in the years ahead (unless, of course, they file bankruptcy--which might be a blessing! At least, it should bring them under the jurisdiction of the courts!!)
Want a little drama in your life! You can get it with this company, but, I warn you, it won't be cheap!!
