Consumer Rewards Network ripoff Is it a free shopping spree or shopping spree rebate I certainly hope this company can decide Woodland Hill California
I recieved a call from someone claiming to be a representave for Consumer Rewards Network on Friday May 13,2005 at that I won a $500 free shopping spree for any where I choose to use it and 10 days free Auto Gold Roadside assistance and that all opf this would only cost $4.95 for shipping & handling.And that it would be deducted from my bank acct.At first this seemed great , later when I had time to think about this I started to feel very uneasy it simply sounded too good o be true.
I tried to call back that day but of course it was after business hours and the weekend so I had to call today Monday May 16,2005 when I finally reached someone I was told that this shopping spree I won was actually a promotion for Auto gold and was actually a shopping spreree rebate (huge difference I'd say)
I explained to the womaN THAT THIS WAS not WHAT i WAS TOLD AND IT WAS A MISREPRESENTATION and that I wanted to cancel the account I was then told that the materials had been sent and I would have to wait until I recieved them to canceltoplease call back when I get the materials. I was alos told thta it was a telemarketer that called and not the actual company.
Wow am I a fool Guess it sounded sok great because I am on disabillity and need it. I pray that I can fix this before the charge my account for anything else such as the $99.00 that it costs for the Auto Gold roadside asssistance after the 10 days.
Gotta keep praying andpersist if not change my banking info.
If anyone can give me a sicere helpful suggestion please do no jokes please this is serious!
