I received extremely foul service from your company, and I am not a customer, nor will I ever be. I will also spread the word to everyone that I can that Continental Warranty has very poor customer service and phone handling. Here is why:

I received approximately 2-3 calls from Continental Warranty on May 23, 2008 during the morning hours on my cell phone. I was unable to answer my phone. I finally picked up and the person mispronounced my name when I answered, I then ask them not to call my phone anymore. I know when a telemarketer is calling simply due to the pronunciation of my name.

I then got a fourth call from Continental Warranty by a person by the name of Sarah. She asked for Niesha Kennedy, and when I asked who is calling and why she explained that she was calling to give a quote on a Chevy. I do not own a Chevy, or any vehicle for that matter. When asked how she got this number she said that it was submitted online. I asked her not to call this number and remove it from the list.

She went on to say that she did not just pick this number out the phone book, and they don't randomly call people. I then explained that she was speaking with the person who she called for, and that I didn't fill out anything and wanted my name removed from the list. She told me I filled out information online (which I did not), and that I should not play on the internet, or give my information out. I explained that I did not do this and I would like them to remove my name from the list. Sarah stated it was not a list and that I filled out information. She then yelled about how she was just doing her job and that if I wanted my name removed, I would have to call the number that came up on my caller ID. I wanted service, so I was very nice and pleasant, and asked her more information so that she would calm down, and then I asked for her supervisor.

I was then transferred to Jacque Marcum. Jacque was not pleasant as I expressed my dissatisfaction with Sarah. I first explained to Jacque that Sarah was extremely rude and discourteous. I explained that I wanted my number removed from their list. Jacque stated that I should not broadcast my phone number online while doing surveys. I was very nice to Jacque and asked him to remove my name from the list. He stated he could not do that because that would be considered insurance fraud, but he could decline the application, but my information would not go anywhere. When asked if this would prevent anyone from calling, he said "Yes, as long as you do not go online".

When I asked him what he meant by this he said, "You filled out a form... Jacque also stated that I should not broadcast my number all over the place. I explained that I did not do this, and that I do not want anyone calling me. He talked over me the entire time not letting me explain, and then disconnected the line.

I was expecting Jacque to understand and simply assist me with my request, because he is the Sales Director and would like his company to have a good reputation. He was very rude, talked over me, and then hung up. I called back the number from my phone and chose extension 3. David answered the line. I asked David did he have a boss, he said yes. I explained that I needed to speak to his boss, although it had nothing to do with him. He said sure and he transferred me, he came back to the line and asked who was calling, and then I was put back on hold for a few minutes. Jacque never picked up.

I then stayed on hold and called the number on another line and got David. I asked for Jacque and he picked up immediately. I explained that he disconnected the line, and I told him that I wanted to make sure that no one would call my phone, he said he could not guarantee that, and went back to the whole "broadcasting" your number thing. I explained once again I did not do this. Jacque stated that he had declined my application, but not to go back online and broadcast my number anywhere on any surveys or they would call me. I hung up the line.

I then got yet another call from Continental Warranty. I did not answer; I just picked up the line and hung it up. I then called Jacque back, and asked him had my name been removed from the list. He said I had already done that. He then asked how many times I was going to call. I told him as many times as it took to remove me from the list. I confirmed with him his title (Sales Director), his company name (Continental Warranty), and his company websit(http://www.Continentalwarranty.com). I then ended the call with Jacque.

I looked online at the website and see that they are a BBB accredited business, (they have the BBB logo on their site, and it says "BBB accredited business" so I decided to file a complaint, however, I was unable to locate their information on BBB's website and had to enter this manually.

My desired resolution is to not receive any calls from Continental Warranty. I am seeking peace; I would not like to be disturbed with sales calls during my work day, or on my cell phone. I do not own a car, yet alone a 2008 Chevy as Sarah stated. I would not like Continental Warranty to call me about anything ever again. Deny my application and send me proof that my application has been denied. Remove my name from any records you have or any lists, and do not call my cell phone again. I requested this verbally several times, and was only given rude service from everyone I talked to, except for David.

On the company's website, under their privacy policy it reads Whether you are a current or potential Continental Warranty customer, your information and needs are handled professionally, and above all, ethically. If you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, or Continental Warranty, don't hesitate to contact us! This is untrue because the service was very rude from the very beginning, when I am the one that they are trying to solicit business from. The phone call turned sour as soon as I simply asked to be removed from the list.

I was yelled at, accused of playing on the internet, broadcasting my number, was put on hold unnecessarily, and hung up on. The higher up the ladder I got, the ruder the service was. Please resolve this situation.

Sincerely,

Chocolate

Hi there, Continental Warranty doesn't solicit business the way that is described in this complaint, though I do take these comments very seriously. We as a business only call people who have filled out an internet request for information, we don't randomly dial phone numbers and fish for business. Also as a business we take customer's phone numbers out of the system regularly. If a client requests us to stop calling, we do it in an efficient and professional manner. I think the fact that this person has no vehicle, and has no business with my company should clearly show the fact that we didn't fail to live up proper business standards. I think the person writing this complaint has never been a client of ours, has no contract with us and was obviously frustrated by what probably was as simple as someone giving us a wrong number to call. I am researching this alleged phone call, this type of complaint doesn't hold lightly with us. I think one thing to consider for sure before passing judgement against my company is that this client has no use of our service and has no car, so she has had no opportunity to use our service or any product we sell. Please contact Lonnie Pitts Welcome Center Manager if you have any questions or comments about our company or product lines. [email protected] 1-866-989-9100 Extension 1620
