When I arrived at Cordell and Cordell I had already filed for divorce and also had my ex served. I was assured by my first lawyer Daniel Lambert that my case did not sound complicated given there was no property to divide and the only issue was support and placement. I was told my case would not exceed a few thousand dollars. From that point on I was raped by this lawyer on a regular basis. He assigned numerous legal aids to my case along with his fee and they ran through 3,000 in two weeks and we hadent even gone to court yet. At the point I hired Cordell my first court date had already happened. After a botched contempt of court charge my lawyer tried to bring to my ex I was almost 8,000 in the whole. After complaining to them about the ridiculous amount of money they were costing I threatened to leave and god I wish I did but they talked me into staying and gave me a new lawyer. I made it clear to this lawyer Trisha Festerling I was running out of money and could not take the financial raping my first lawyer did to me. She reassured me she would not and gave me the impression she cared about my case. This was all a ploy as she went on to drain me of another 10,000 and the second I ran out of money she threatened me with a law suit and dropped me as a client. Not to mention the sub par job she did in my case where any other lawyer would have probably gotten me full placement and custody given the details involved.
So this is Cordell and Cordell. If you do not have a lot of money they assign a sub par lawyer and a host of legal aids that will drain you of every penny you have and than dump you like you are a bum. My case is costing me over 20,000 and for what. We did not go to trial and all the filing and serving of my ex and our first temp hearing I did without them. Please for your own sake stay clear of this firm. They take advantage of men in bad situations and make it even worse.

Try, just try and file an unfavorable review with companies like avvo, a lawyer rating site. They will block anything unfavorable. Just how many times have attorneys not done their job and no one knows the difference?

Ahhh, wish I had found this out a long time ago. I took have been a victum of what I think is sub par service. Its amazing as you get taken in court for 2 or 3 grand and your told its no big deal, how the firm wants every dime and does not follow thru. I still do not have my ex's retirement info...almost 3 years! One thing is for sure. Save your emails to them. It is a trail, especially if they responded to them! Also, do you find it funny they taylor thier customer surveys and when you raise concerns that they don't appear? By the way, find an attorney that has some bite. Sitting back and collecting a check as you watch everything being taken from you by your ex and the attorney is a slow death. In all orders make sure they match both of you. Never give the other side something like calls and not get it for yourself. Another thing, always check your orders, the other side added language and I caught it a month later, Trisha did not seem all to interested and asked what it changed?
