Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
on two occasions I had road hazard incidents while driving for covenant. One was a piece of tire in the road and was hit by a car in front of me an went under my truck and knocked an air line off of the trailer.any situation like this has to have an incident number so it stays in your record as a negative and is later reported negatively.

the next incident was a big piece of concrete or concrete block in the road and I saw it and moved over to miss it and my load was heavy and I had the tandems all the way back to be legal.one of the trailer tires hit the block and ruined it and bent the wheel.

Covenant was going to charge me 500 dollars which is their usual charge for incidents.I argued and called and finaly they decided to just chare me for the tire and wheel.the tire that was ruined was nearly worn out but I bought a new one not used and I should not have been charged at all.

After one year with the company I earned a vacation and decided to take that time off with my dispatchers knowledge as I had medical appts and other things to do, so my team partner wife was going to run solo. before my vacation time was up I received a letter of termination in the mail and if I had questions to call this number.

I called and they said I was shown to be inactive for 9 days and that terminates me.after talking to my dispatcher and a woman named Ann I was told that I could be reinstated if I ran to Houston first and drug tested but I was to loose all time in grade and bonuses that had been earned to that time. I secured other employment and then was told later that I could be reinstated but by then it was too late for me.

I lost bonuses for that quarter and later was turned down for employment with several companies because of the reports from covenant. While I was searching for other work my wife was put thru hell as a solo driver and was pressured to team up or train.Sherefused and was treated awfully, and was making no money. They left sitting with no load and no support in south texas for 5 days.

Covenant is the worst comany to work for that I have ever been associated with and the drivers are treated like second class emloyees. Most conversations with departments at chattanooga are negative and the people are rude and disrespectful. This mentality goes on in dispatch, payroll, breakdown and most other departments.

Mike Smith professed to a born again cristian as he screwed over my wife linda. He is a piece of work as is the owner who also professes to be a cristian. These attitudes come right from the top and that is why this company is so difficult to work for. I cannot warn you enough to stay away from them.

I am considering litigation for lost income and significant punitive damages for their dishonest and false reporting.
