Anyone having to tolerate the change over from Excite at Home to Cox.net will understand this. They are still advertising High Speed Internet access in the Media. When their customers are having to endure slow speeds. A 757KB took over 9 minutes and they are bashing 56K service in the media? They claim, for us to be patient, when you call the local offices for a month solid, at all times of the day, and get busy signal.

It takes tech support 2 weeks to respond to Emails, if you are lucky enough to get cox's own pages to download before your browser times out. I tried one evening to get online tech support, the message was it wasn't available after 12 minutes of trying to reconnect. I did this for 4 hours solid. They knew for a very long time the Excite thing was going down the tubes and had plenty of time to prepare for this, they just didn't want to spend the money.

But even better yet they surely did not offer the exisiting customer paying a fortune for premium service a discount while they have provided 2 months of slow or no service. To even pour salt into the wounds by continually advertising this malicious lie of high speed service, when they know good and well they are not providing it at this moment.
