I went thru orientation at CREngland and left. They charge $1 for each out of route mile, $15 for an unauthorized fuel stop, and will also charge you for the fuel if it happens more than once. These CAT trucks that new people have to go out on after 3 weeks of being out with a trainer, are lease operators that have only driven 6 weeks themselves. They say they are not trainers but just showing others how a lease operator works. How the heck can they even be safe to go out with when they themselves have only driven under 2 months. Oh....they aren't trainers--they are just showing you how a lease works. Lotsa experience to show at less than 2 months of driving!!!! They take a 3 hour course after 3 weeks with a trainer and 3 weeks with a CAT person, and off they go to pick up a person who has only been out 3 weeks with a trainer themselves. But of course that's how to make the money to make your payments on that lovely lease truck they just talked you into. The whole orientation is based on leasing too. Safety???? How about a trainer that takes 2 students at one time in the truck. Who's the lucky one to sleep on the top bunk while the truck is rolling?? Does anyone mention that the orientation is NOT paid for and you must provide your own food too during this time (which most people are dirt broke). The physical will also come out of your paycheck too. Most companies pay for the physical. Pay. Most experienced people start out at 26 cents per mile with this company, which is very low compared to others. Swift even pays more than this. If you fail any part of that orientation, you pay to get home. I saw quite a few scared to death on how to get home after going there broke. The "interview". That's an interigation on drug usage, drinking, and lying. I thought that was what drug tests, and background checks were for--which England does--but also does this "interview" also. The recruiters lie to you worse than other companies (all recruiters lie), but this company beats the cake. I wish you luck & hope people wise up and check out the real facts before going into some of these low class companies.
