Creative Designs Joyce Smith, Owner Changed starting date on home painting contract after confirming 2 days prior that everything was go. Harrisonburg Virginia
Creative Designs supplied a contractor proposal on June 17, 2015 to paint my entire home (7-8 rooms) with a start date of July 23, 2015. This was an insurance claim due to soot damage and also included complete carpet replacement. Creative Designs stated they would prefer to start painting first and have the carpet installers follow them.
The carpet installation was scheduled to begin on July 27, 2015 in conjuction with July 23 painting start. I might add that the carpet installers changed the installation dates of some of their other customers to comply with the schedule set by Creative Designs.
On July 7, 2015 I e-mailed Ms. Smith to confirm all was on schedule. She e-mailed me back within 4 hours to confirm same and set a date of July 20, 2015 to come to my residence and confirm colors, get deposit etc. On July 9, 2015 at 7:30 P. M. she e-mailed me that she was having personnel problems, and could begin roughly on August 17, 2015, with a note that she would totally understand if I hired someone else.
This has totally messed up the installation of the carpet and has put me in a position of starting the process over after waiting on Creative Designs for over 3 weeks. I called Ms. Smith on the phone after reading and showed no remorse nor offered any other solution. Beware of this company!!!!
