Credit Rebuilders Aka.nexcheck ripoff false or misrepresention of a reputable known busniess, Las Vegas Nevada
in sept/03 i had a tellemarketer call me claiming that he was informing me of a credit offer pre approval for $2500.00 visa card.he stated that be aproved is to pay a initial $299 one time charge for proccesing the the new member ship.
i asked him detials about the cards apr%, late fees,etc.ect. he seemed to have all the answers and claimed he the he represented the well known cardcompany VISA. he even worked with me on extending the date at witch i was able to pay. and the money wasn't taken until that date specified. he then explain that i was going to recieve the card and the credit restoration packet within 15 working days.
i then recieved the package a month later and there was no card just a book that was titled "credit 101" and application for and invitation to a visa/master card. i called the companys customer service demanding to know were my card was and why it was not sent as promised.
the lady explained that the only wanted my signature on record then the card would be sent to me eplaining that i was to fax the application to a fax #.i did as instructed and waited. a week later i started to get credit denial form from three differ companys. i called each of them and all explain they recieved my information via internet email.
i call the customer service agian asking why the were applying for credit cards when i was told i was going yo get from them VISA.she told me in the event that i was denied by all 3 company all i had to do is fax all 3 denials to them and they would issue me a full refund
this was at the very begining of dec/03 a month went by no refund i called and i got put on hold for an hour. i gave up and called again the first week of jan/04. i finally got a hold of a customer serv. lady and she told me that i was only going to get half of my $299 refunded back to me . i told her no i wanted all my money back.
i asked why did they lie to me and applyed for me a credit card when i could have done it myself and why did the man that called me claimed to be VISA. she didnt reply or she siad it aint her problem and told it was ok with her if i didnt want half. she put me on a speaker phone and i could hear people snickering and stuff then she just hanged up.
i have tryed to call them back several times. only time i get success is if i call from a differ # and then i just get hung up on.in the begining after i accepted the offer another person called me claiming that they werew mastercard and had the same exact offer.i believe they thought if i fell for it once i would again.i have the account # of the draft from my acount they used to put there money in
