Apparently Creditreport.com has found a way to prey on the desperate unemployed.  They send out an email claiming to be from Newman & Henry, Sanders & Green, Passport Health Inc and other companies, including real estate lisitings. The email reads:

Thank you for applying for the opening 'Office Position' this position is currently listed in Fort Worth, Texas with a pay of $42,000.

We have completed our initial review of the applications, and are happy to inform you that you have been accepted by our client for a further interview.

This stage closes on Friday, January 24th at 9pm, so its very important you complete the online screening before this date, submissions after this date will not be accepted. Your interview will be scheduled for the following week.

Please go to the following address to complete the interview booking:

Please be sure to set aside at least 10 minutes to complete the submission. You will not be able to restart the process, it can only be completed once. Once submitted we will contact you within a few days to arrange your interview date. Please be sure to complete all parts of the screening. Incomplete screenings will be not be accepted.

We recommend that you complete the screening on a computer, rather than a mobile phone or tablet, to ensure that you can complete the process.

Thanks,

Susan Henry

Everything looks very legit until you reach the page asking you to apply for a "no charge" credit report and then give them access to it, to "verify your identity".  I tried to track down the company that contacted me- Newman & Henry.  They do not exist, th address given is bogus and the 800 line is always busy.  After further research it became apparent that the faud here is being perpetratd by Creditreport.com.  Once they get your credit card info they have you. If you can't cancel they will continue to charge your crdit card.

Thank goodness I am a suspicious person.  Being out of work is bad enough, but to then get ripped off just because you need a job?  Insult to injury!
