I have been a customer for over three years. I was charged a $50 annual fee on my last statement. The annual fee took me over the limit, so I was charged a late fee. I did not see anything that stated if your annual fee is applied to your account and you go over your limit you will be charged a late fee. Needless to say the customer service representative was useless.
I'm a patient person, but I'm just fed up with this company. I closed my account today and now I feel like a big weight has been lifted off of me. I knew I should have closed this account in October. I thought I would keep it to build my credit. I guess you should follow your instincts once in a while. Besides, I have another credit card through another company with a lower rate, a toll free number, a grace period and no annual fees. I wouldn't recommend Cross Country Bank to my worst enemy.
