CRS INC Magazine Subscription Door-to-Door Scam Aubrey, Texas
I had a young man come to my door who was very charismatic. He spun me a story about earning points for a trip and money towards starting a business. He was selling magazine subscriptions.
I had a bad feeling about it so I looked up the company after he left and then I was VERY mad. It is a scam. Most people don't even get their subscriptions.
I demanded a refund immediately. I signed the back of the receipt that night and mailed it back as the instructions stated (sent certified mail) and even called the company. The person I talked to said that I would get a call the next day. I did get a call the next day from a woman named Brandy who said that if I mailed the receipt, I would get my refund my certified check within 10 business days.
And that was the last I ever heard from the company. I did NOT get my refund check...after the receipt was sent back on MARCH 10, 2010. It is now more than a month later...and still no refund.
They are a SCAM. Do NOT purchase magazine subscriptions from anyone who comes to your door. I certainly won't be answering my door anymore for anyone.

I called the company once shortly after I filed this report. I spoke to Brandy again who claimed that they had my address incorrect and would have another check sent. That was on April 12th. I still have not received a check. And seeing the previous person now wanting my receipt number AGAIN after I just spoke to Brandy and supposedly straightened out the issue...it appears that my refund is never going to get here.
Oh and my receipt number is: 420XXX
