 I bought certificates from Cruisemiles about 3 years ago.I managed to get one cruise from them , which was offered at a really reasonable rate. Restructure followed thisi and the cruisemiles bought for thousands of dollars will no longer buy a cruise  as they did a year ago.I bought 2 cruises around early 2012 and July 2012.In February 2013 I emailed asking details of the roll check for my cruise  that should have occurredsoon .Many emails and months later  I still had no reply  but I noticed in my account statement that one cruise had ''cancelled'' against it. Alarm bells rang and I frantically sent many emails to  the customer sservice address  but got no reply.

After several months  I as eventually given a terse explanation that the cruise was cancelled byt the cruiseline [rubbish- I have since booked a berth on it  and am going , having paid twice].They claimed to have emailed everyone and made an offer on another ship .I certainly got no such email..In fact if they had surely they would have seen my emails to them  on th ematter and taken it that I wanted to  go.

I then began asking questions about the 2nd cruise - still no reply after about 3 months.I saw on ''Pissed Consumer'' that others had similar problems..

They have a Forum on their website  [if you can get past their moderator]  which has other members  comments and their email addresses   and details of some of their cruises so I contacted some and  via one influential lady managed to get through to the reservation manager, asking for confirmation of the 2nd cruise  and explaining that I was desperate, having made  non- refundable airfares for 2  from Australia to the UK , and with a disabled husband had to have somewhere he could settle and rest for the 2 month perios of my air travel. I told he rI was holding  acabin with another agent and would haev to pay in 2 days if she did not confirm, and I did nto want to pay twice.Do you know what she  did??? She emailed back that ''It was alright'' [ie my cruise] the she cancelled my Cruisemiles cruise. [if there ever was one]

 Ther ewas supposed to be  a roll check on their website and 4 of us watching 3-4 times a day have not seen it, however  a week afte r this debacle  I heard  that the roll check had closed.

I watched the  website for the rollcheck about 3 times a day since January.If it were ther e I would oto have missed it.

Where once one could get a cruise for 100,00 cruisemil s it now take millions- if  you can get one,There used to be on the auction page up to 78 cruises at a time, now there are about  five.

My feeling is that more berths were sold than available   Also more cruisemiles are sold than cruises to accommodate them. [hence the price inflation]

A week or so ago the CEO Richard Lester announced  a huge expansion of Cruisemiles.We lucky members areto be given the option of  shares in the new company .How lucky we are !!!

I for one will not be pouring more money down the drain.  I hope others recognise what si happening and take some action
