CSN Asphalt They over charged me to pave my driveway and did an inferior job... Seabrook New Hampshire
We saw CSN paving a driveway in Ocala Fl on Rt 484 on Feb 1st. We stoppped and asked the owner of the company to come to our home and give us an estimate to put in a asphalt driveway. Bill Eaton came the same day to our home and told us he had recycled milled material that he has to get rid of and he can give us a good price to put it down in our driveway. I asked him what he recommends recycled milled or hot asphalt and he recommended the recycled for 1.50 a square foot. I asked him how much the whole job would cost and he said don't worry about it you will be happy, me and your husband will measure the driveway and let you know. Mr. Eaton did not grade the job correctly, the material gets torn up when I turn the wheels on my car, grass is growing through the pavement. Also we told him we wanted a culvert for drainage and he put in a 4 inch pvc pipe and it's not pitched correctly. I called Mr. Eaton the day after the job to tell him I was not satisfied with the work. This was on Feb 2, 2018.
Mr. Eaton came back on Feb. 5th and he himself said he didn't like the way the job came out and that he would send his guys back the next day to fix it. Well, that never happened. Also Mr. Eaton charged us for a 12ft wide driveway and he made it 10ft. wide. Mr Eaton made it known to me that he had to leave his men finish the job without him because he had to be somewhere else. I said well we don't have enough money in the checking account so my husband has to go to the bank and transfer money into our checking account and Mr. Eaton said cash would be better. So I asked him how much we owe him because he did not make it clear at time of estimate and he said $5,800.00, I said for this. I thought it would look much better than what he put down because he did not make himself clear on how the finish product would look. (I am not an expert on asphalt). Mr. Eaton knows he owes us money but has not re-embursed us and is not answering my phone calls. Mr. Eaton is known in Ocala as a gypsy meaning they are out of towners knocking on people's doors for work and they stay in different motels, using different names scamming people here in Ocala. I know of one other person who gave him $15,000.00 for an asphalt driveway and it's coming apart the day after install. I was speaking to someone who knows of Mr. Eaton and his bad reputation in Marion County and said I got scammed. The material cost him at least $400.00 a truck load and Mr. Eaton is charging us thousands.
I am hoping other people come forward so we can file a class action law suit against Mr. Eaton and his comany CSN Asphalt. I want the Marion County Community to be aware of CSN Asphalt and other paving scammers. These are people with a New Hampshire accent, this is where they come from, so be aware.
