Natalya, Thank you for helping the elderly lady at the pharmacy. I work at a small family-owned pharmacy close to downtown and if one of our employees treated a customer like that, they would be asked to leave permanently. I can't imagine why the sales person screamed at the elderly lady and why the manager wouldn't reprimand him for that behavior. Most of the people who come in a pharmacy are the elderly, disabled, and sick; therefore, we have to have a lot of patience for our customers who most likely are not feeling well. I doubt the police will do anything though. However, I don't know a lot about the law. I can't figure out why the pharmacy wouldn't allow you in the store after you tried to help their customer. As my co-worker at the pharmacy where I work says, "Everybody has a supervisor." Since the Cvc Pharmacy is a chain, maybe you should write to their corporate office about this situation. Sounds like there is some discrimination here for some unknown reason and I believe they owe you an apology (at least), too. If you need any help as far as address, etc., I would be willing to help. Sincerely,
Kate

It sounds like this is still really bothering you and it would bother me also. It is a good thing that you were there that day and that you reacted like you did. It was surely a blessing to that woman and it also told her, your behavior did, that it was not acceptable that she was treated that way. You witnessed a simple 'assault'. That's really illegal you know. And it's a truly terrible thing when you see someone who's abusing someone who is frail. Either elderly or young. I would look online and see if there is a home webpage for that pharmacy - if it is a chain. If there is, write them about what you witnessed. No matter who those people are, that kind of behavior can't be tolerated and God bless you for speaking out about it. You should be able to tell the other people in your community what happened. And you all have the ultimate control. If people stop shopping there, the store will go out of business. And no matter who that store manager's father is - they cannot change the law of economics. No money - no business. God bless you and don't be afraid to stand up. "Bravery is not the absence of fear - it is the ability to act in spite of it".
