Complaint Review: Dan Mickle/highland Contractin/ Dm Contracting/ Mickle Contracting - Andover Minnesota

 Dan Mickle is a fraud and a womanizer. Hired to do a remodel job and never finished. What work was done was shorty and had to be redone and he refused to refund the money he collected up front. Funny that this post was an "ex" since he tends to sleep with many of his female customers. Completely unprofessional and takes advantage monitarily as well as sexually if his customers. Do not make yourself a victim like I did and hire him. He will go by other names also so check for proper licensing. Stacy MN

I have a hard time believing that 'Laurie' from 'Texas' is a concerned consumer. I think that she is an employee of ROR, or someone who has interest in the sites success! There have been 3 reply's to this report in over 2 years, two from myself and one from another victim (Dan Mickle of Toledo) of the site, so I am wondering why someone from Texas would be so interested in this report and be posting a response to my rebuttle just hours after I had posted mine!?? HMMMMM.............seems kinda fishy to me??? What do the other Dan Mickle's out there think?

Because the "SITE" cannot be held responsible for the postings of others. ITS A PUBLIC FORUM - ROR is not responsible now or ever for the opinions of others. Quit trying to make it ROR's fault. IF YOU HAVE A CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND that is YOUR PROBLEM - NOT ROR'S. The original poster is RESPONSIBLE and the only person who is. Although you occassionally find some questionable postings, which are pretty easy to spot, this site serves a major purpose which is to allow a forum for people who have complaints to post them and warn others of what to expect. Just 1 of numerous sites WORLDWIDE that does this. I have actually seen complaints about ROR on other complaint boards. Those complaints are posted without verification on those boards as they are on ROR. The complaint - that ROR allows the posting of unverified complaints. REALLY STUPID - POSTING UNVERIFIED COMPLAINTS AGAINST ONE WEBSITE ON ANOTHER THAT ALSO DOES NOT VERIFY COMPLAINTS. In some cases the poster has claimed that it was ROR staff that actually posted the complaints against them and not their unhappy customers. The posters are blaming ROR for their business failures - rather then what they themselves may have done that resulted in the failures. ITS CALLED BLAME SOMEONE ELSE!

I am the original Dan Mickle who had these obsurd and untruthful things posted about me a couple of years ago. I appreciate the response and insightfullness that is 'right on' about the person that had initiated this devastating and hurtful false report. I know of several Dan Mickle's across the country and agree there are hundred of us and I do apologize for this person who has no idea what it is like to have her name drug through the mud and had her name disgraced because of flat out lies. As you can see, this person will not reply to this report she has filed because she is a coward who deliberately lied and has had none of these things happen to her. She will not file, nor can she file a police report because none of these things happened, moreover she cannot come within 500 feet of myself or my business because I have filed a restraining order against her. The main reason for my writing was to show compassion and strength for myself and for any and all the Dan Mickle's that this report may have hindered, hurt or been the misfortune of one person's wrongfully misguided Spite! I will take responsibility for having been in a very short and brief dating relationship with the person who wrote this report. I am still puzzled with the fact that this site is still in operation with all of the suits and motions filed against it!? I have been in contact with many who have been affected by this site and we have all been wrongfully accused of doings without supporting evidence. I believe in the right of free speech, but still feel we should be protected from slander and defamation!

Well, Dan, if you do go ahead with the slander suit against this woman, I might be inclined to jump in with you. I am one of the many with the same name. Looking at the internet, it appears there are a lot of us around. Imagine my surprise and anger, when someone here in Toledo, Ohio accused me of being a "sex-pervert" from Minnesota!? At first they were just talking behind my back, then I finally got the story that it related to this web-page accusing me. Since denials never travel as well as accusations of this nature, I doubt that my good name will ever be repaired in the eyes of some of these people. I have never been in Minnesota in my life, but that doesn't stop people from believing I could somehow be involved with this accusation. After all, my name is right there in print, isn't it? This is especially bad in the case of a minister, where personal feelings and opinions are highly important to our work in the community. As it happens there are three Dan Mickle's here in Toledo and all three of us are ministers (in different churches). I am in hopes that the woman in question who placed this accusation will at the very least rewrite her comments to show that there are indeed a couple hundred Dan Mickle's across the country, and that she only has a bone to pick with one of us. To any who for the analysis, I noticed that her own words tend to belie her statements. It is part of my background to listen to stories people tell and decide the truth or falsehood thereof, so I tend to notice small things that others might skim over. She mentions right off the bat to "Stay away, far away from...", however, if this were a case of being ripped off by an individual who disappeared, instead of telling people to stay away from him, she would be more likely to ask them to report him to the local authorities, as she would have filed a police report on it. She would at the least say to check on him with the Better Business Bureau, in view of saying that people should avoid any business in the entire state with the name Mickle, or even his initials. (DM in a company name could stand for all sorts of things from actor Doug McClure, singers Dean Martin or Dorothy McGuire to Danger Mouse or Deluth Maintenance.) Instead she gives an emotional responce, showing an emotional tie that she wishes to hide. She says the Mickles are a family of guys that... Why deos she say this, unless she knows more about the family than she could possibly know having hired and fired you in the same day? She says "Dan Mickle has changed his name and phone number", and that you may be living in Andover with relatives. If you were simply a contractor she hired, how would she know you had relatives in Andover, let alone the possibility that you had gone there to live? Looking at her comments, she first begins to talk about the company, but seems to get on a roll as she continues and decides to embellish the story. Why do I say that? If this were about a "sex pervert", it seems to me, she would have mentioned that first thing, wouldn't she? Also the fact that she mentions Dan by name but never the names of the "Mickle brothers" whom she seems to know as running construction outfits too. She likewise does not mention the names of these companies, even though at the beginning she says the problem was with "any contractors or construction company in Minnesota with the name Mickle in it". The above comments are my opinion, based on experience with people and what I see in print. I would ask the young lady in question "Is this a business rip-off or confronting a sex-pervert? --Whichever one it is, did you file a police report? I suspect the answer is "No." -since the police would have advised you to say nothing about a pending investigation. All in all it does sound to me you have a personal bone to pick with someone who happens to have my name, and have decided to try and ruin his (and My) reputation by placing this overly broad based accusation on the internet.

Just move on with your pathetic meager existence and quit taking cheap shots at me or my business, since you have nothing to do with either!!
