I ordered an evening gown online from Darius Cordell Designs, after seeing photos on their website of "sample" couture dresses. I paid over $600 and had the dress express mailed to me.

The gown was beautiful and I was thrilled --until I tried it on and discovered, while it was a perfect fit, it had a rather crucial flaw it its design: The 1-strap gown did not have any "boning" or anything in the bodice to keep the one side from falling over and exposing the breast. I asked Darius Cordell for suggestions on how to deal with this, and received nothing but curt replies telling me I could take it to my alterationist and do as I pleased--(In other words, you're on your own, sucker.)

My alterationist couldn't figure out how to fix this bad dress design, without completely changing the dress. The responses from Cordell were repeatedly rude and arrogant, blaming my alterationist for being "incompetent" when it was clearly Cordell's designer who was incompetent. Darius Cordell ripped me off for over $600 on a dress that looks great on the hanger, but is clearly inferior and unwearable.

What Happened to Customer Relations? ..company has your funds and now they are done

Dear Ripped Off: It seems to me that this company has your funds and now they are done. If the product left the company defective, and falsely advertised, you may want to file a complaint with the Attorney General in your State. It seems to me, this company has your funds and now they are done with you. If the product is purchased for a particular purpose and it's essential purpose fails, then this company needs to make good on their promise. $600.00 is an aweful lot of money to throw in the rubbish! Since, this company advertised this product obviously, the purpose is to wear it and you can't then they need to either return your money or replace the product. It is truly ashame that they are not accomodating you based on the fact, they have lost a customer. If they were a good business company, they would have immediately fixed the issue and probably would have made a regular customer. However, they choose the route of going under, based on their ignorance. Good Luck!
