I went to this doctor for contact prescrition early this month. After trying 1 pair and additional 1 just for one eye, I found out none of them works for me(I have more than 10 years of experience of wearing contact). The doc. suggested me to go for other doc for a second oppinion and refused to work with me to find other solutions. The whole time I only got to talk to the assistants and the only thing they said was there is nothing they can do after they claimed the money from my insurance.

I am simply stuck with them becasue I only get to have one exam per year and since they have claimed the insurance I will have to wait until next year. I asked to have another exam with this doc and asked him to help me find something else, he wouldnt even talk to me. I am paying for nothing to this greedy doc.

I just want to address the issue that an unethical doc like this should not be toleranted. Doctors do not care about patients but whether they will get the money from the insurance company should be punished, and their license should be suspended.

Also, I want everyone to know that Darren Osterloh is definitely not the doc you ever want to visit. Dont be another victim like myself.

I am a new prescription eye class wearer due to age.  I went in for an annual exam and after my exam the doctor told me that I have good insurance, but I could either just go buy a pair of reading glasses from CVS Pharmacy or get a prescription pair of glasses.  He was patient and explained to me the difference between a prescription and a store bought pair.  I decided to go with the prescription because I could get glare resistent lenses and a perfect lense for me.  I couldn't be happier and did not feel that Dr. Osterloh was at all unethical or greedy.  It's obvious he was transparent and gave me my options as a consumer.

I felt heard.  I felt that I was given the necessary treatment and patience that I required as a potentially new prescription lense wearer.

I would highly recommend Dr. Osterloh to any new patient.

I am a severely astigmatic individual with such a heavy correction, that eyeglasses are ridiculously thick and Toric gas lenses only reached my prescription in the past decade. I was having trouble with my ability to read due to aging, and still play sports. Several doctors had suggested fitting me for mono-vision for general daily wear, and regular vision for sports activities or night time use.
However, not one of three doctors I tried had any success in fitting lenses, or dialing in a mono-vision solution that worked. That included one doctor in Scottsdale, one in San Francisco, and one in Malibu. After being recommended by 9026-Eyes, I gave Darren a shot, and he dialed in a working prescription the first time. I have needed slight annual adjustments, but he has had the mono-vision working well enough for me, that I stopped using binocular lenses for sports or night time driving. I recomend him to all my vision challenged friends, as he has succeeded where others failed.

Best Eyeglass Prescription I Have Ever Had

Hi, I have been a customer of Dr. Osterloh for several years now. Having worn glasses now for over 30 years, I can attest that he has been able to provide me with the best eye glass prescription that I have ever had. Everything looks crisp and clearly focused. That is far better than I can say for the eye doctor that I went to just prior to Dr. Osterloh. Dr. Osterloh's eye exam was all about determining what >>> I <<< was seeing and not what he thought that I was seeing. That is why this new prescription was soooo good! He listened to me and allowed me to really get the best prescription possible. He is a very patient eye doctor. In addition, I was in Iraq for the last year and during this time, my prescription sunglasses were accidentally broken by myself. My wife went to the eye doctor and explained the situation. Dr. Osterloh was able to quickly order a replacement frame, even though he does not normally stock the brand that I used. So I was back in business in less than a month. That may seem like a long time, but my wife had to pick them up and repackage them for being mailed halfway around the world, in a combat zone. So the length of time was pretty darned good in my opinion. Both Dr. Osterloh and his staff are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend that an open mind be kept. If you are looking for a new eye doctor, you would do well to stop by and try him out. I'm really glad that I did. Seeing things clearly is so important. It had been a long time since I have had a really good eyeglass prescription. I have great eyeglasses now because of Dr. Osterloh's patience and professionalism. Sincerely, Butch M.
