This is a prison support group that was sending out a newspaper every other month and hard times hit and the newspaper went under and no one received the subscription!

There was an explanation written out in public stating the reason for the paper to go under and a promise to refund each individuals money back to them but it has now been 4 months with no return explanation as to why the refund has not been refunded!

If anyone asks about the refund out on the open board they are banned from the support board and accused of starting trouble.

This was how the subscription was suppose to work:

How much does a subscription to Con-tact News cost?

The introductory rate is $10 for 6 issues.

Foreign subscriptions (outside U.S.) are available for $20 for 6 issues.

How often does CTN get come out?

CTN will be published every other month.

I paid for one subscription issues and never received one issue. This is very poor representation from this David Frisk when he is suppose to be a supporter and not another con artist!

For a site devoted to disseminating family support and information about a punitive prison system resulting from an extensive amount of rules, laws, and regulations, this one at first glance appears to mirror that society with all of its restrictions and threats of banishment.

I have posted content specific information which may help the people and the families of people who have been incarcerated to restore their lives and the n**i moderators, who I might add are similar to the Wikipedia Gestapo force, deleting my posts and silencing the voice of protest in the prison related community.

It's not as if I were spamming for commercial purposes or trying to make a profit, but to label a non-profit political criminal justice reform related topic aimed at restoring the lives of the poor people who are at the mercy of the system as solicitation or advertising is preposterous. I have not offered up a product or a service, but a cause of serious concern. To be silenced in this fashion is outrageous. I doubt these moderators actually took the time out to research the cause before stamping it in such a way as to stifle activism.

How do you offer family support when you deny the people of the legitimate resources they need to truly regain their lives back?

So far, this forum has proved to support the continuance of mediocrity of a status quo that refuses to address the root causes of societal problems and maintains the poor quality of life that imprisons the bodies, hearts, and minds of the people of this forum and the loved ones they care for so much. I assume that if people actually began to become mobilized in an effort to reform the system instead of taking these false surveys and fake internet petitions, there would be no need for this forum and this site would lose traffic, so I understand your reasons, but it's just bad form.

Even though this is my target population, after a review of all of the rules and restrictions of this community, I decided, this was not the venue for me. The restrictions of this site are an impediment to a true reform of the Criminal Justice system. There was this political science book I remember reading from my earlier days as an undergrad titled, "Self-Renewal" by John W. Gardner. In it he writes, and I quote, "As the organization or society ages, vitality diminishes, flexibility gives way to rigidity, creativity fades and there is a loss of capacity to meet challenges from unexpected directions." He points to the stifling dependence on rules as being the demise of an organization when he writes, "the last act of a dying organization is to get out a new and enlarged edition of the rule book." He argues that organizations must renew themselves to keep up with the times and that the only society that can renew itself over a period of time is a free society. He continues, "Critics who call attention to an area that requires renewal are very much a part of the innovative process." Unfortunately, this community ostracizes innovators and the voice of dissent. PrisonTalk.com is more like a prison than any other entity with its hostile treatment of free thinkers. Perhaps the prisonization, the process of being socialized into the culture and social life of prison society to the extent that adjusting to the outside society becomes difficult, of this site from people who have been institutionalized is causation in this horrible phenomenon.

All I have to say is, "You sir, Mr. David Frisk, need to clean house and let your site resemble the free society in which we live."

Do you really expect people to believe that David?

David Frisk basically speaks lies so much that now I honestly believe he is starting to believe them himself heh. The failed venture David Frisk refers too was Prison-Online.com which (Never asked for money, always deleted members that were no longer logging into the site to keep the numbers true.) If anyone here honestly believes that your little chat house called PTO actually has 50k members or whatever...so be it. Everyone knows the truth... Prison-Onine is not dead..it merged with prisonerfamilychat.com...To form a bigger community... We basically took in to account that Prison-Online and Prisoner Family Chat were both run in the same manner. So it was only logical to merge them...We do not prevent people from speaking their minds...if you disagree with a moderator it is not "their way or the highway" like David Frisky's site. Actually let's just prove those inflated numbers... David uses the bogus member count here to try and make people believe that they are joining this huge forum and he is trying to make a difference...blah blah... He is just trying to create enough donated income for himself so he doesn't have to actually work. Anyway...back to the infalted numbers... If you took all his members there...supposedly 76,699...and then take his post count of 1,934,992...You come out with an average post count of about 25 posts per user... Now remember some of these people have 3 or 4 thousand posts...The site has been up since March of 2002....uhhhh...something does not compute here... See prison-online.com used to prune there members...meaning if you haven't logged in for atleast 3 to 4 months your account was removed...because (We didn't need inflated number counts...I wanted an accurate member count...) The average post per user was over 250 if you take the total posts divided by the number of members that were merged into the Prisoner Family Chat website from Prison-Online. Hmmmm...that is really odd...basically you have about 75,000 members that have nothing to say I guess...LOL Then you have the good old posts with pleeds for help likebasically like this: David "We need donations for server equipment" Uhhh...you lease the server from EV1...If that server costs more then $200 I would be in shock...Maybe it is for all the money making scam sites you have hosted there? I mean you can't make any money off of any of these sites your hosting? 4PCO.COM ADDFORUMS.COM AEROVIEWUSA.COM BONFIREMEMORIAL.COM CHITIKATALK.COM DANIELHICE.COM FRISK1.COM HOUSTONAERIALS.COM HOUSTONHELI.COM INMATEBLOGS.COM INMATECALLS.COM KATRINA411.COM KB228.COM NITASMITH.COM PCOCOM.COM PRISONACTIVISTS.COM PRISONBID.COM PRISONCALL.COM PRISONCALLSONLINE.COM PRISONCOLLECT.COM PRISONERPUBLISHING.COM PRISONLINKS.COM PRISONPREPARATION.COM PRISONPURSES.COM PRISONTALK.COM PWCRACER.COM RCHELILINKS.COM REMOVEMYHAIR.COM RFOWEN.COM ROTORWORKS.NET SHERRYTALKS.COM TELENETINC.NET TEXRAS.COM Man Prison Calls Online won't even give you any money for hosting them? Not even any kickbacks from all the failed evercom based accounts they have that they can't get blocks removed from? Let's now start asking for donations constantly...for all the custom scripts we need made to make our site completely different from everyone else...(WRONG DAVID...your running a plain old run of the mill vBulletin forum that has no custom anything...so That was just a crock.) Your basically just angry that people are now finding out what a crook you really are... It's the internet man...everyone eventually finds out everything...don't worry...be happy...LOL I think you have ripped enough people off that the well had to run dry someday... You know what else I find really humoring? David once writes me an email about how I had google adds on Prison-Online.com...and pay per click adds...(Never made jack...out of like 8 months they were on there I made $25) I was going to use them just to cover the $51-$69 per month that the server was running me for Prison-Online.com. Well wouldn't you know that now David went and turned around and added google and affiliate links all over PrisonTalk.com? Who the heck is trying to copy who? ROFL You see David... Myself, Mark, And Brian...we all have jobs...we don't need donations from people...We don't need to sit here and make someone feel like crap because they didn't donate to us to support our site...Especially all those women that are by themselves with kids to take care of while their husband is in prison or jail... David "Rather then pay a bill...give me a donation...or we will make you feel like an outcast" Your just a joke man...you always will be...everyone knows it...and no one cares about you anymore LOL... Would be nice if you refunded the people you owe money too for the "Contact News Scam" you were running...

I am not interested in your thoughts on others! I am interested in getting something back as simple as $10 and that can not be done by you! You are posting on your board how much money you are bringing in with donations! Why not use some of the donations to refund your members! Yes, it has been stated that some members wish that you keep their money but other members DO NOT wish for you to keep their money! Something has to be done about this situation!

I'm not sure how this is going to be threaded but I would also like to reply to Don's comments from Saratoga, NY., as well as another idiot scam artist named Brian Prins who live to try and bash PTO. Don VanFossen is the owner of the "competition", or some might say the new kid on the block that has tried to foster as much unrest as possible against Prison Talk Online to try and build up his own (now failed venture) called Prison-Online. This sad attempt was then integrated with "Prisoner Family Chat", another company formed by problematics that were banned from Prison Talk Online - www.PrisonTalk.com/forums . Their purpose in life is to try and poach our members, slam our name and find some way to suck money out of inmate's families. Isn't this what they accuse us of with NO evidence?? Pretty sad because most inmate's families do not have much at all. PrisonTalk.com was founded by me to try and give people with loved ones in prison a place to go for support and to share information. The little online community that started in 2001 and cost $24.95 a month to host has now turned into a huge online community (Ranked the in the top 100 of most trafficked Big Boards on the internet) that requires over $750.00 a month to run - just to cover hosting & server management. (I have never gotten paid for the thousands of hours I put into it) I have gone into serious debt making this happen and it has finally (just recently) started to cover its own hosting expenses. We are now in the middle of a fund raiser to purchase our own equipment... (What a scam!?!) And they have decided to again (yes, this happens yearly) try and smear us. I won't continue this rebuttal because it is silly but for those who may visit this and question what it is all about... It is simply about revenge.. Revenge for taking away what they got for FREE because they have all abused other people. I don't usually say things like this but these people are scum and they are the ones that ruin good things for other people. I work at least 70 hours a week to provide for my family and then donate time to Prison Talk Online to help others that are facing the prison or criminal justice system - and I don't even have anyone in there! I won't be answering any other comments here after this but I do want to set the record straight when someone slams my good name and that of the ONLY online support community that is really there to help those facing the criminal justice & prison system. You people are pathetic. David (Fed-X) www.PrisonTalk.com

He has been ripping people off for years in prison for federal crimes

Heck...guy runs 52 sites on one server...none of those sites ever have issues but Prisontalk.com... He makes up these fake server issues then asks for donation money. He was in prison for federal crimes pertaining to money...Now he just does those same crimes under the guise of being a non for profit organization. And frankly I don't think he even filed the paper work to be one hehe..

A "prison support group" sending out a newspaper? This smells like a con job from the gitgo. "Con-Tac News? And where does FedEx remotely fit into this situation.
