Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
What a horrible experience with a Bridal Shops that SHOULD be trying to make the life of a bride easier and happier!! I will NEVER refer anyone I know (even an enemy!) to them. They get you in the door and be real nice INITIALLY. THEN they tell you they can't get your bridal gown in time for your wedding so you'll HAVE to purchase one they have in the store that is 2 sizes too big.

IF you love the dress, you decide to buy it and have it altered. THEN they tell you it's gonna' be $200 for alterations. When you feel that's too much, they say ALL SALES FINAL, no exchanges or refunds! OK I must be stuck. Stupid ME! I select the bridesmaids dresses' color and ask my two bridesmaids to come in and try them on. David's Bridal says they can't get those sizes in MY color in time for my wedding which is 3 mos. away. They suggest I select a different color!!

OK I try to be amicable and select a color that both bridesmaids like and will work for me. The dresses are ordered. I bring my flower girl in to select a dress. I'm told the only one they can get in 3 mos. happens to be the most elegant and expensive one in the store! I wanted a street length one with the NEW color waistband that I had to select. Nope can't get that one in time! So, I once again accommodated THEM and got the one I really didn't want!

So, it's 3 weeks before the wedding and the bridesmaid's dresses are in and they need to go in for fittings. My dress came in and had been altered, so the two of us went in for a 1 p.m. appointment. Ya think we could get some attention from the clerks and/or the alteration lady?? No customer service at all and we had to go searching for someone to help us. Hello, I think I just spent a TON of money with you folks. could someone PLS help us finalize this SALE??

Turns out they ordered the bridesmaids dress in a size larger and then wanted to charge another arm & leg to alter it! Coincidence?? Thank GOD my wedding dress fit well and all seems fine. The other bridesmaid and flower girl just picked up their dresses and walked out. didn't even want to try on or discuss alterations. Hope they look OK! OH and the necklace that the bridesmaid originally bought to match the first color dress I wanted. NOPE. all sales final, no exchanges or refunds. She's STUCK with it and they wouldn't even exchange it for the new color we had to switch to. We thought that was pretty crappy!

It's just been a horrible experience and will be glad to be absolutely DONE with this Company. Don't go there unless you want humongeous headaches for your Wedding Day!

How far in advance of your wedding did you go to David's Bridal to get your dress? It's not just a buy off the rack place. I'm getting married in a year and have already ordered my dress from David's Bridal and it should be in 3 months from now, plenty of time to have it so I can get it altered and have it for my wedding without any worries. Many of my friends have gotten married in the past year or will be getting married soon and ordered their dress a year ahead of time and had no problems. Maybe that should be the lesson especially for other women. Also, of course alterations are expensive. They are working with intricate materials that not just any person can take in or up or whatever needs to be done, unless you want your beading to fall off and the silk or satin to be pulled. You get what you pay for and sometimes that means you get a better job or a more quality item if you pay more money. I personally would recommend David's Bridal to any bride.
