Saw this great job offer on CL last night, spent time writing cover letter, etc
received nice email response--We would like to thank you for sending your resume toDavidson Corp& Partners. After overlooking your initial credentials, I think you could possibly be a great fit for our company. Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leavesfor vacation early next week.
You need to complete the pre-interview screening before we can schedule an interview, which can be found at applyformiller.biz or the career link on our homepage. Your applicant code is _____. Please write down your code, as that is the only way you can gain access to your application and employee profile. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview.
That link takes you to a bunch of thoughtful essay questions, where you are informed you are now one of five applicants...spent time answering all of these questions...
and then, finally, a link to a redirected national credit report webpage, where you will enter your social security number and birthdate, and whatever else was on the next page, probably credit card numbers.
This scam is very professional--a lot of thought went in to it, and someone smart is behind it. Too bad they are wasting their talent trying to rip off theunemployed. So depressing.
