i visited the Antiques Mall and purchased 12 miniature tea sets from her. ($113.40). she said she would wrap them while i finished shopping. i ordered ONE double set because my sister liked one that i had. when i got home (i live 3 hours away) i realized that she had wrapped 2 double sets which i DID NOT order. Below is our email traffic. First mine to her and then her reply.
Hi,
I was at the antique mall last week and bought several tea sets fro you
($113). When I got home and unpacked them I noticed I was given 2 double
sets. I live 3 hours away and don't know when I will be up there again. I did not want duplicate sets and would like to know what needs to be done to
correct this mistake. Thank you. This is her reply:
Hi Back Tammy; I only packed and charged you for the sets you - & your daughter (?) - handed to me. I had no way of knowing that you didn't want duplicates of certain ones - I DO remember that you DID asked for another of the (larger) African violet one. I assumed that what you gave me was what you wanted; also they were all sitting out on the counter when you wrote your check. That is unfortunate ! The only thing I can think you can
do is perhaps give that one as a gift to someone, or maybe sell it to a local antiques hop near you.
Sincerely,
Colleen
First of all, why would i buy double sets???!!! it is clear she was unwilling to admit the possibility that she made a mistake. Bottom line is is obvious she only cares about money instead of customer satisfaction. If it had of been me, i would have asked the customer if she were aware she bought double sets instead of automatically wrapping them and putting them by the register. if anyone is in that area, do not buy products from her because it is obvious she is only interested in the money. considering the amount of money i spent - i would have expected some type of solution not "i suggest you give them away as gifts." don't purchase from her.
