i had my car towed here because it wouldn't start. everything else would cut on but not the car. I had it towed to this place no later than 5 they closed at 8-9. They didn't even start working on my car until 1pm the next day!! The guy I believe his name was George told me that my cam shaft or the crank shaft went bad and it was going to be close to $400.00 to replace. I said okay and told him I will call back so I could do my research and make sure that is the normal price to replace that. When I called back he then told me that the timing belt was due to be changed and I needed to look into getting that changed.
I asked him how much was it going to be to get the car running he then started trying to talk me into getting the timing belt changed and told me he would call me back once he looked at it again. So 2-3 hours go by and I still don't hear anything back. I called him back then he tells me the timing belt is completly broken now "all of a sudden" and it will be $787 for everything. I told him I would call him back once I spoke to someone else because I cant understand how the timing belt is completely broke and the price keeps rising. And at the beginning he told me he did a diagnostic which he charged me $100.00 for and now he i telling me he couldn't put it on the machine because the car wouldn't turn on.
So when I call him back he is now telling me the engine is done due to the timing belt and it will be $2,000.00 to fix. I then told him not to touch the car anymmore and I was coming to get it because if the car had all these issues I would have knew this 3 days before when I took the car to be appraised because they look at this and he would have told me that the first time i called. Not only did they do all of this but it's funny how i just filled up my tank 2 days prior and all the gas was gone!! it takes me at least 10 days to run out of gas.
I took the car to the bp service center up the street and all they did was call Dellinger and told me the same thing they didn't even look at the car and then asked me would I be willing to sell them the car??? i knew I was being ripped off because i'm a young female. I was forced to get a new car because I couldnt keep paying to tow the car from place to place to be f**ked over. My mother took it to Total Car Care on S. Military and it was the timing belt nothing wrong with a cam shaft, crank shaft or even worse the ENGINE and it was only $709.00!! No where near 2,000!. The car is running perfect now but it's a shame that I had to go thru this and be ripped off. It is really costing me and now I have a new car note for nothing! Thanks Dellinger!
