I received a call from Claudia who said she had a warrant for me and was surprised I didn't know anything about it. The number she called from was 816-331-2798 which is the Belton Circuit Court in Belton, MO.  She gave me a number to call and a case number because she said that she didn't know what it was about.  She wondered if I wanted it delivered by 1st class mail or hand delivered to my work.  I am retired and haven't worked since 2011.

I placed the call to the number provided, 1-844-644-0106. It was immediately answered as Law Office. I asked for her name and she said it was Lisa Brown, she did not give me the Law Office name.  I gave her my case number and she proceeded to tell me that if I didn't pay by today that there wouuld be a warrant for my arrest. I told her that I knew nothing of the debit and asked whom it was with. She said the debit was for CashNet in the amount of $2500 and that the company would settle for $1,137.10. When I told her that I needed to look into this, she said that it was a time sensitive manner and that if I could pay by today, she would knock the price down to $937.10.

She told me she had no reason to lie to me and that I really needed to pay this with my bank card.  I told her that I didn't have that type of money lying around and that I would like more information. She said she would have her secretary email me a document within 2 hours.  While I waited, I searched for CashNet and the only listing on the internet was CashNetUSA which I called.  I inquired if I owed them any money and they informed me that I had a loan in 2007 for $500 and it was paid in full.  They also advised me that there is no other company using the CashNetUSA name or logo.

Within 2 1/2 hours Lisa Brown called me and said you should have received the email, I have a copy of it just now.  I came in and opened the attachment which is from Delray Capital, L.L.C. in Boca Raton, FL, but was issued by Solomon & Blake.  I once again asked her for more information and she said all I need was what was on that page. I told her I wanted to do more research and she said to call CashNet and give them my information and they would refer me directly to her number.

Upon hanging up, I called the bank listed on the letter and inquired about the account number - not only did I never have an account with that number; those numbers are not used by this banking institution.  In addition, I looked into the FBI listings and saw that CashNet scams were listed on their website and also my state attorneys.

She called me back again withing 30 minutes and said she was ready to process my payment.  I told her that I have done some searching and that the bank number was invalid, that I didn not owe CashNetUSA any funds, and that I was going to report them to the FBI.  Her response was, "That's fine Mrs. Norman, you better get an attorney!"

I am now filling out a complaint form with the ICF (Internet Crime Complaint Center)at www.IC3.gov, the FBI, my local county, and this site.

I also contacted the Belton Circuit Clerk and asked for Claudia, which I was told there was no one there by that name. I inquired about a warrant in my name and was told that they have nothing under my name. They had me speak to a supervisor, I gave her the report and she wanted me to file one with the local police department.

In addition, I also tracked the IP addresses where the email was sent - there were two different IP addresses from this email; one was from Wayne, PA and the other from Buffalo, NY. In addition, I did a google satellite search for the IP address location and the business address. The IP addresses are in vacant lots and the store front is in Boca Raton, FL but it is an office building with Charles Schwab and has a rental sign out front.

Another name that came up, was NCW Billing which was where Lisa Brown would transfer me to give them my financial information to pay off this bill.

Se said the original loan was for $2500 - I looked into Missouri law  and it states that you cannot obtain a payday loan for over $500 in this state. Now that I know that, I'll be more alert to say these things to them. I was so flustered because she woke me up and had already called 3 times before 8 a.m.

My husband and I have worked for everything we have and it's not right that people sit on their computers and try to get ours and others hard earned money.
