Derrick Mickens Derrick Mickens New Credit Start Ripoff!! Richmond Virginia
In November of 2008 Derrick Mickens contacted me after I sent an inquiry about his services from craigslist. He said he represents new credit start and that he can apply to get me an SCN (second credit number). He said the cost would be about $415 and he requested it by paypayl.
He also offered to add a tradeline to the new SCN so that it would immediately have a credit score. The price $850. He faxed me some strange documents and told me to take it to get it notarized and return it to him so that he could get the tradeline added to the scn.
He said the process would take 30 days (business days). About a month and half later I contacted him again and he said the rules have changed that it would take 45 business days (which is approximately 60-90 days).
Weeks later I contacted him and told him that the tradeline never posted. He got arrogant with me and said I was harrassing him and the he refuses to do business with me anymore.
To date the tradeline still has never posted. He refuses to return my calls or return my money.
During the time I was waiting for the tradeline to post he continued the bait and switch by saying that once the tradeline posted he would put me in a special pool of his clients who would receive a american express optima card. He said that he has connections and the guy he deals with will only present a certain number each month. Never happened.
He operates very regularly on craigslist. I'm sure he has posts in many places but I'm encouraging those who are interested not to do business with this person.
From my research (after the fact) I learned that he is a car salesmen who works at Sheehy in Southern Virginia around the Richmond area.
I have filed a report with the FTC. He has initiated an internet crime (federal crime)..and has stolen from me alone at least $1300 which is a felony.

You can also do an internet search for the name "Derrick Mickens." And he can be located on facebook.
This company he operates from has several different names like "newcreditstart" "anewstart" etc.

Tabby, come clean so we can put you on the list, although you sound like Leonard Johnson who called my house at 12am every day! Your name is not Tabby! I tried my best to help people with very poor credit like you and your the one who didnt call or email me. I bet your using the scn number 158-19-9xxx to GET YOUR CREDIT GOAL! I still have all your info on file like your ssn and home address. Please call me Mr.Johnson if you need to be on the list. Also get your facts right (I didnt work for sheehy auto when i started NCS!) Cant wait for your call Leonard Johnson!
