their rebuttal was not correct and i have a file to prove it. the material and some of the fabric was not used. most of the furniture that i did not approve of has been picked up by a consignment shop (even they told me that chairs and tables had water damage and the furniture looked like it was staged in homes. my office furniture has wood chipped out, the fountain in the office NEVEr worked correctly (i have wittness that will come forward) the over charged me for roman shades on smaller windows then larger ones. the told me the WERE THE ONLY HUNTER DOUGLAS DEALER IN NC AND HAD TO PAY 2000 TO GET THE BOOKS. i never ordered accessories nor pictures yet was charged for them. the lighting and foyer rug i wasn't charged for (i ordered and paid for). ONCE AGAIN, BUYER BEWARE OF ANY COMPANY THAT HAS YOU WRITE CHECKS PAYABLE TO THEM AND NOT THEIR COMPANY. (COPY OF CHECKS ARE ALSO IN MY FILE) please check references prior to calling them. the mantal that i did approve did not cover the fireplace, it's now a table in my sun room. they will tell you there 35% below retail yet i paid close to 45% upon retail. since she had a key to my house and we lived out of state, my husband had to drive down to get rid of her. we've been here for 6 months now and am still finding things that i was charged for that didn't approve of.

This indvidual feels she has the right to make both personal and business attacks, however her version of the story is very different from the actual facts. So allow for them to be presented - She approved all the fabrics, furnishings, lighting and window treatments during our final presentation - however, in her favor...she most likely did not retain a lot of information for she was ill. During the course of this job it was taken into consideration her illnesses and allowances for this were made out of kindness, but it would seem that this is just her true nature - ill or not.
First of off, all the items were new and not used, to say otherwise is a blatant fallacy on her claims of furniture used for stagingsor any other project. Now for specifics - A pre-approved Custom Mantle over the fireplace was replaced at no additional cost to the client, when she did not like the way it looked .Said client retained the hand hewn original mantle at no charge, for she wanted to make a bench out of it. Please note that (2) pre-approved chairs were custom covered and delivered – she did not like so, DD replaced with two other custom chair replacements- even with pre-approval at no additional charge.
AS FOR THE TOP TREATMENTS FOR THE WINDOWS - the original proposal did not include any estimate for top treatment cornices and in the final cost - she was NOT charged for the items. She requested these items after the project began and approved the design and fabric but ultimately she was NOT charged for the final product. As for a Custom Dining Table, which was specifically made for the client based on a table she had seen at Four Corners – specifically to accommodate her space, along with DINING CHAIRS. Custom Fabric and Custom Finish to the Custom Designed and Fabricated Dining Table. I guess it is ok to say these were used in a staging AND sent to a consignment store as well...really? She simply must be called out on this fabrications of inaccurate statements.
GUEST BATHROOM DRAPERY ON CEILING TRACK – she demanded a different fabric from the one she approved and it was lined, a replacement was provided yet again yet due to time constraints the lined portion was not competed - yet . ALL OF THE PRE-APPROVED ITEMS THAT WERE CHANGED AT NO CHARGE and BOTH FABRICS WERE VERY EXPENSIVE. As for the statement that cost estimates and spread sheets were not provided is utterly ridiculous. Even with the difference what she called “over estimated budget” - Her specific requested additions increased the cost because they were additions to the original budget.
HOWEVER the project actually came in under the estimated budget . So really with the “credit” the project was under budget in real dollars for accounting in HER favor. Furthermore, requested additions amounted did not even include the additional costs of a custom dining room table nor the custom cushions for the chair in the master bedroom. Had they been included the amount was more around $10,000 total. And finally – SHE was not charged for the cornices in the Living and Dining Room nor for the Antique Steamer Trunk, there are NO table and chairs missing and the Water Fountain which was working fine when this job was completed.
To conclude this business, it was discussed and agreed upon with her husband that they were given a credit on the outstanding balance of $3,566.99, which was valid ONLY if I do not have to deal with anymore harassment , vulgar behavior and/or language and online web attacks... however - it would seem that she does want that credit! If anyone was ripped off it was me - with all of her changed orders , time, labor and energy spent trying to placate this individual - all profits were lost and revenue represents a loss.
